Hi Nel,

Bro,at Looi's see if there's still a black and a yellow 600 Hornet,

"heard that it has been exported to the overseas market."

Asking for 4.5K to 5.5K.

Not sure of the bikes condition.

Can go and check it out if it is still there.

But one thing very interesting is what Super 4 needed for maintenance boils down to almost the same for Hornet600.Over the edge of 200cc more. How about it?Think about flexing your 'class2 licence' "if you had it" while paying a super4 price tag on maintenance.

Thanks!Enjoy pondering....

Some ppl value the experience of changing over to a 2a bike (or rather they cannot ta han the lack in power) and the change over is very diff from 2b to 2a (tat's y they set the standards in the first place). s4 market value quite standard, so even if just hold onto the bike for 1 year, not so bad also mah... then push in s4 again and push out hornet 600...

Some ppl feel tat class 2a just enuf power and cheap for transport... aka s4, y bother to waste the $$$ for class 2 and increase in road tax and insurance yearly?

How about pondering this too?

now looking for my next addition when i get my 2a.. i've tried a few bikes liaozz, s4 verS, s4 spec 3, spec 1, sv400,ducati m400... not in singapore of cos

s4 is gonna be my last choice... really too common liaozzz...

common is one thing and it has it's own pros and cons.

s4 is really a good and practical bike to ride around locally. if u dun mind lesser torque, power and speed, it can be a good tourer as well.

good all rounder bullet proof bike

paul MAI~~~~~ LOLZ :cheeky:

I think the important attributes of a touring bike are, in order of priority,

1)Reliability,

2)Comfort, (Windshields, Seating Position, The Seat, Ride Quality)

3)Fun,

4)Carrying Capacity,

5)Range.

The cost of the bike goes in there somewhere but I'm not sure where. You will most likely have the same categories but not necessarily in the same order.

The appropriateness of a particular machine depends on your unique style and priorities.

Most ppl are obsessed with large displacement motorcycles and I can't tell you how many times I've heard someone say that you can't tour on a bike with less than 750 cc (or 900 or 1000, or 1200 or whatever). I think that this is an extension of the generally silly "Bigger is Better" mentality that seems to dominate eeryone's thinking on most subjects. This thinking is absolute rubbish. Bigger bikes usually have more powerful engines and more power is nice to have but it's not the most important characteristic of a motorcycle. Notice that power isn't even on my list. As long as it meets the criteria I've listed above, any motorcycle can be used for touring.

I think that one reason many people prefer larger displacement bikes is that many riders equate the ability to go fast in a straight line with rider skill. The reality is that there is no relationship between fast straight line speed and rider skill. Bigger bikes have higher top speeds because they have more horespower, pure and simple. Straight line speed is a function of horsepower and the willingness to use it: it has nothing to do with skill. Many riders are simply deluding themselves when they think that because they can go fast in a straight line that they are good riders. The skill in operating a motorcycle comes into play in the turns.

i'll repeat tat, ANY MOTORCYCLE CAN BE USED FOR TOURING.

ns highway's speed limit is 110km/h, most of the vehicles go slightly beyond tat...

therefore those bikes tat max out at this speed or couldn't go this speed are being a danger or roadhog to the other highway users... to travel on the road shoulder with a lower speed is not recommended either.... therefore bikes like the small varadero (max out 110km/h), roadwin, comet 125 etc shouldn't be used for touring... and just to touch on the diff in speedometer, 2b bike speedos have about a -10km/h speed compared to cars or bigger bikes... therefore, they r effectively travelling at 100km/h only...

well.. smaller bikes can take the truck roads.. otherwise i dun really see a prob.. juz travel on the left lane.. there's no min speed for a highway.. but dun be a clown n go at 60km/h la..
