kaiq: dunno about caltex, but i used to be a devotee of caltex platinum... then i realised it cost a bomb. might've been my imagination, but i did think the bike was a lot smoother. the petrol fumes were a lot stronger, though, strangely...

 

all sedili riders: there're 3 bikes staying at desaru for now, we're looking at 1 room. those who want to stay, please chime in, then can get 2 rooms just nice.

Me is opposite: used to smell petrol fumes when cold start with Shell 92, but cannot smell anything with Caltex Silver.

 

Strange, seems like my bike can be easily satisfied with grade 92 petrol, different company also can see difference...

 

Think will monitor Caltex for a while...

same here.. i noticed the caltex platinium has a beri strong smell.. personally i dun think its a gd idea sniffin it anyway.. :D

try MAH if you have bought the bike from them. otherwise don't think they will entertain you. M technic main stand is not the honda main stain, it's the Hepco and Becker brand mainstaind.

Stand is useful. but not perfectly balanced.

Eg. quite a big effort to bring bike up.

Thanks Spectrum! Would join you guys but I'm not in S'pore. I'm an ex-S'porean living in NZ. I'll be visiting soon so that's why I'm trying to find out where I can buy stuff from.

Any of you has the bellypan and/or fender extender fitted? Do you know where I can find them? I ride over a bit of dirt track and thought it'd be good to try to keep off some mud/stones/dirt from the radiator and engine.

Total Distance: 280km

 

It is important everyone know the way.

So if u can... print a copy of the map.

 

We will ride as a team.

Markers will be placed.

If junction has no markers... GO STRAIGHT!

 

Ride Plan

 

Meet: 8am @ 2nd Link Esso, 11mar saturday

(Plan to be at spore immigration about 7.30am

that way, we'll be at Esso same time)

 

Breakfast ride

2nd link to Kulai (40km)

(opp shell station)

Pack some thing for Lunch!

 

Sedili Ride

Kulai route 94 to Kota Tinggi - Route 3 - (60km)Route J173 to Sedili (20km)

Turn off junction before sedili town

Route 174

1hr Rest by seaside after small resort

 

Coastal Ride

Route J174 South to Desaru (34km)

2hr rest at Coastal resort.

(ATV & Go-kart will be available..)

 

Sunset Ride

Back to Kulai (80km)

by Route 92 -3 - 94

 

Dinner @ Kulai (yew ming or nasi lemak)

Back to 2nd Link Petronas (40km)
