Hi guys, riding h250 now. Got a "hovering" sound coming from my engine when i'm riding. Initially i thought it was due to my wheels spinning and hitting the air, but then i realized that it only happens when i rev the engine when travelling. No abnormal sound when i rev the bike when stationary. Wht could be the reason behind this ?

 

Any advices?

any speed also got the "hom hom hom" . like as if the piston sound like that... u know when industrial motor is spinning kind of sound?. hmm. hard to describe leh.

anyway its scary, cuz i just top up half a bottle of engine oil. I am using semi-synthetic motul. abt 6000km before the last changeout. Am surprised the dip stick went so low until can top up half a bottle...

Hornets take up 2.5l of engine oil as in the 250s class so if u lose half a bottle of EO for 6000km i think it is reasonable. Anyway general guide line for changing EO is 4000miles about 6000km...

 

Else u can overhaul your engine. U might have a piston ring gap thats why oil decreasing. Or the caskate has a leak.

Need help again for all hornet riders.

 

Right now, I really could not decide which GIVI airstars will look best and fit best with my 2004 white hornet.

I believed that I could not go for A750, A755 or A760 because the color of the plastic will not match with my white and it's not a good idea to re-paint it.

 

It now come down to A200, A250, and A600 models.

 

The reason why I need to put a windscreen because I don't want to get too much impact from the wind coming to my chest when riding at high speed.

 

What would you guys recommend? Thank you for all comments and I appreciate Spectrum and anodise57 for the help to find out about the price at Chiaplee. :smile:
