didn't quite get the name, it the same row as unity, new southern, albert etc. there's also a new shop there. full of bikes and the shop is still under renovation.

i also didn't see what was thew price. if it's really 6k, then it's a rather good deal. price of a small bike, get fun of a big bike.

there's also another thread about this bike in this naked forum. i didn't really want to check out the shops there. i am now taking a course at that area only. went to check out the new fazer at southern, got quoted 18k on the road :hungry: now hand and backside also a bit itchy liao seeing all the new bikes.

the usual riding=normal riding, bring up the revs slowly. don't drop gear suddenly. every 800 to 1000km change engine oil and filter for the first 3000km.

congrats and enjoy your new ride.

I did mine BB actually all big bikes run-in should be simliar... 500m 1k 2k on mineral oil. 3k 5k semi. After 5k Then u can switch to Full.... but i read from UK forum. No neccessary to change full. me currently still running on semi. Technically speakin u are still not done with running in.

The actual break in of engine is after 1st 10k.. which i hit few weeks back.. hahaha just 4 mths.!!!! whoo hoo...... now 13k++ liao... Shiok ah... Rem...

Running in of engine need to rev eg, 50 -70 -50, 60-80-60, 90-110-90,

Rev up and down at interval. Try not to maintain your speed all the way. Its not helping with the sitting in of the piston rings. occassional revving helps more actually and WILL NOT HARM your engine at all as to some of the grandmother story...... So during running in of engine sometimes might cause drowsiness. TRY NOT TO HAVE PILLIONS..... they'll get bikesickness.. hahahhaha

Try not to go up on highways like some other pp say......

Try small roads so tat u can run in all the gears.....

3k rpm=80km, u can go up to 5k rpm, more also can but gradually and smoothly. go thru all the gears and different speeds. up and down gradually. like what anodise said.

Hi. I am new here. I am thinking of upgrading to hornet 900. From the review i read in internet, it has lots of torque and so is it good also for commuting on start/stop traffic situation? I also ride long distance in malaysia. Since the exhaust is high, would the passenger feel the heat? I really appreciate if owners of this bike share your experience. Thanks !!

YNT: Hornet 900 uses the same battery as S4

So.. think H6 should be the same....

FJT does have a good supply of Honda parts....

Incl all hornets.

Takumi: Congratulations on your new Bike... U will have a good relationship with you H9... I had

:lovestruck:

Don't get too worried about the specific spd & rev when running in.

Just remember it's just about normal gentle riding...

that will run the bike in.

Don't stress the bike... that's all.

Just don't pull the bike to near Max... eg 5000rpm or less... OK lah..

Red line is at 9000 right.

So crz at your normal spd on the rd... it's fine.

Enjoy!

Still remember someone's new H9 going at 90kmh all the way to Kulai :giddy:

Ah huat was faster...

Ha ha...

Philip: HI... How zee X-11

Hi Bluewing,

The Hornet 900 is a Gd Street Bike...

Strength in Low & Mid torque..

Stop & Go... This is a Street Fighter!

Sort of like having a S4 with much, much more pwr

And Great handling... Great Fun!

The heat from the exhaust will not be a problem to u or pillion

As for touring...

Just put on a small screen... (A200 givi @ $100... my choice)

U will be able to enjoy great distances...
