hey hornet riders...

i have a few questions i wanna ask...

1. is hornet 600 still in production?

2. what is the machine price for 600 and 900?

3. what is the FC range of 600 and 900?

thanks for taking your time to answer my questions.

Hello ahcaibiker!

1) If you refer to my link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_CB600F) the bike on the right of the page still in production and its the 2nd generation of CB600F. 1st Generation CB600F discontinued, easily recognizable by its CB400SF looks except its single side cowl exhaust.

2) New CB600F, I pop in Looi's before (*somewhere this year) uncle quoted me 19K OTR most probably a 2008 model. Although pricey for a 600, but it closely resemble its CB900F, I compared it myself and spot lots of similarity. 2nd Generation CB900F aka Hornet 900 or 919 (*a term they use in the states) last model roll out in 2007, not sure if there's remaining new CB900F in the market doubt its low. Its been replaced by CB1000R.

3) My current CB900F can clock around 15+km/litre, speed around

New CB600F? Re-vamp model?

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

Hmmm interesting, so you have decide on a Hornet 600? There's a lovely "Laser Extreme" exhaust for this baby. :thumb:

Did BS reveal the approximate pricing?

Seriously its hard to come by, how many 2nd hand CB600F spotted on the Garage sales?

Even the 1st Gen CB600F are rare too.

Which model? I find the price pretty good... for such a wonderful machine, no doubt its the most expensive 600 St fighter I came across among the Jap bikes. *Don't mention abt Duke/Triumph/Other Italian bird la...

If I'm not riding my Hornet, I would choose between 2nd Gen CB600F or CB1000R... I really enjoy been unique... Cos there always be someone "eyeing" me on the road!

Mine is a '07 CB600F PC41. I feel I sold it away at a lousy price. It's a head turner alright.

Hmmm in that case, if your H250 fully paid just utilise it for the meantime. You got one less money problem to think of while studying.

In the past, I saw this uncle riding with a "weird" helmet, while I'm still standing at the bus stop trying to figure out. Closer look suggest, the uncle don the helmet the other way round.

Well, I had to say some uncle riders are very unique... when u're side by side with them so loves to keep revving n revving... very provokative haha.

I've never rode other 600cc streetfighters before but I used to ride a Z1000. In comparison, the hornet is very easy to handle but a little too light on handling at high speed. And you have to rev it to hear it purr. Parts are expensive as it's a UK model after all. But for the outlook, it's lasting. Mine's a 2007 model yet many people thought it's a newly launched Honda bike. And many do not know of this model.

not uk thou. e spare parts do take a while to arrive. . . .

Wooo that's a nice review on CB600F, mind ask what's your reason for selling it?

You have problem getting parts from regular mech shop?

I didn't want to sell it, but my cousin who's going overseas to work for a long time, just got his bike not long ago and he bought many 'delicious' accessories. So I chose to sell mine and take over his bike. And furthermore, I love touring and the hornet just ain't the comfy type to go up north. I brought it up to Alor Star with a pillion last Xmas. Was intending to hit Thailand with it but my friend crashed and we had to abort our plans. The hornet CAN make it, but I still think my cousin's bike can do better. It's a 1000cc sports tourer.
