Tony has explained it much better than I can :D

Modern bikes like your SP (Thomas's) are capable of acceleration and speeds that engineers a few generations ago can only dream about. Proper safety gear would fit well with your new FF helmet purchase :3

Maybe you will never have an accident if you ride safe and responsibly, but sometimes bikes are dropped for absolutely no reason at all and at the most unexpected of times. Might be some stupid oil patch on a slippery MSCP floor or the sidestand went into a hole in the ground. A simple pair of long pants and sturdy shoes can save you from discomfort and possibly serious flesh injury.

Flesh vs metal/road - metal/road wins every time.

Thanks for giving me something to reply to :3

Proposed template for Caturday Night Special:

Flight Plan: "High Street Runway"

Date: Sat 2 Oct '10

Launch time: 2200hrs

Venue: Instead of visiting animal farm areas we'll make use of our newly tested and proven air combat tactics AHEM convoy skills to use in an urban setting.

Cruise through familiar sights in the city centre from the security and freedom of a motorcycle convoy while making a mental note to demonstrate good 'ol American highway code to our fellow motorists.

Commercial passenger vehicles; taxis and buses deserve right of way, and they'll in turn help you to change lanes and filter traffic once you earned their favour :D

Attendance:

Flight 1: Usual TPY Road Recon Force

Names:

1. Cat / CBX200R "Sheryl Nome Custom"

2. Thomas Wong / Stealth NSR

3.

Flight 2: SBF Sports Riders (ie "fighter escort)

Names:

1. nabil15 / CB400R "Purple Dragon"

2.

3.

Group 3 - Guest Stars (Team Hougang! Experienced riders)

1. Tonychan / Honda Steed

2.

Just add slots if y'all want to come along. All types of bikes welcome, newbie-friendly mode available if desired.

PS: Pls turn up in your safety gear if you have. Slippers not recommended (Or nabil and I will post your unglam pics by accident on facebook -_-)

Can i ask a few questions??? What's with all the air combat references? What is a Caturday? And what is a Sheryl nome???:confused::confused:

Alot of rider always think that **** wont happen to them and they believe they are able to control whether they will buang or not. But most of them dont understand why did the word "accident" is being use when you got into an accident.

2cents :) might join you guys if bike ok.

Hey thomas, I live near tpy. Can meet you at the Toa Payor Esso Station at Lor 5 at 9.30pm and then head off to Pasir Ris Downtown East.

Sms me @ 96455120 to confirm if you'd like to meet prior and go together. See if your friend can knock off earlier or something, if not he can join us again in the future rides (:

:thumb: Thumbs up for Tony for being a responsible ride leader. I feel very uncomfortable riding with others who come with uncovered hands or feet.

:thumb: to Tony for his advises always.

Hey bro, been a while since we rode together. Fancy a morning ride this weekend? Do let me know, if youre keen, could organize something (:

Takecare bro

Can organise sub-convoy to Downtown East from your place. Coordinate with @CJP and etc. Ahhh and @nabil15! Make sure your group doesn't turn up in slippers :D

[/indent]

Yup, will see if Thomas wants to meet up at the usual Toa Payor Esso Station at Lor 5, and go together (:

Nabil, how's the performance of CBR 150? I'm thinking of getting it. -_-" There's some limitation of phantom that disturbs me a little. Clash with riding habits. LOL

I'm not nabil but I'm nabil's secretary so I'll answer :p

CBR150 - much much more agile than your uncle bike, pickup and top speed is a lot better because it's a 4V DOHC, lighter and less air resistance from the tiny body.

But because it's so skinny like an ant, drivers may have issues seeing you. And 2B 4 stroke "upgrade" to 2B 4 stroke is a bit... " -_- "

Oh you should try the CBX200 conversion kit first :3 Just need to make appointment to borrow power tools. Sunday morning?

Hi @liquidy :3

Yes we are going out this Saturday night 2200hrs onwards. Just check back here for new details as I can't be spamming everyone like grandma :D

This week's theme will cater towards a 'road safety convoy' format, so be prepared :3

Photo Recon Session

Meeting at: 2145 hrs, Eunos MRT Station

Copilot: @nabil15

Route: "Eastern Industrial Highway" & "High Street Cruise", duration

Mission Start: Downtown East @ 2215 hrs

We'll memorise each critical turn and scope out road conditions in preparation for Saturday's outing. The course will start off easy on deserted roads but will progress to suburban then urban settings. But don't worry, big wide, easy to navigate roads will be chosen and we have convoy format on our side.

Sure man. This sunday morning is fine with me. In fact anytime after friday would be good. Its not an upgrade, but things I'm looking for are present in CBR150 compared to phantom. But phantom's not bad la.

*I don't entertain bullsh*t

All are welcome! Contact the cat.

I won't mind the extra 2 wheels in the convoy. No convoy experience also can we can meet up Saturday (daytime) and have practical basic convoying session, or I can just write to you the procedures these few days. Experience is no big issue you'll just gain some along the way :D

Good to know your machine type too, just copy and paste the big template. :3
