In a dilemma, need some advise!!!! regarding 2b bike and COE

Hi all....need some advice here...

 

I've been riding my KR150 for 3 years + already...its a FT plate btw, my COE is expiring next year May...

 

Because COE now so expensive...I dont know if I should upgrade to 2A bike or not.

Because i'm still studying at the moment so do not have much cash other than some savings from part time jobs. I'm able to pay off the COE + insurance next year which sums up to maybe around 1.5k roughly..

 

My question is....is it worth it to continue COE for my KRR? or is it better to upgrade? But 2A bikes are so expensive for me now :cry:

Judging by the appearance of your machine (and excellent condition) keeping it as your personal little race bike is worth it.

 

Remember that once you have bigger CC, maintenence costs increase dramatically. I don't like the $75 per oil change for a Super 4 along with $300 for a set of tyres so I made my own "Super 2" that has $10 oil change and $90 tyres :D

 

Still gets me to work and back, so no big deal on the lack of top speed!

My recommendation is to get a 4-stroke 2B bike.

 

Kalyan! My eyes are hurting with the new forum layout! I don't know how to search posts made by me, apparently, the search function doesnt work anymore and is there a way to switch back to the older layout which was more comfortable to the eyes? THANKS! :D

its not exactly in tip top condition....due to back in the days where i just got the bike, drop it afew times so there's abit of crack and scratches on the fairings, did not send for respray immediately as i'm afraid i will drop it again soon...but now that i no longer drop it, i didnt send it for respray either x.x

 

Engine wise its pretty good....other than the time where i have no time to service it during NS, it had a piston jam and burnt gasket-.- so i did a overhaul and change of piston...luckily the block was ok...it has not been giving me any problems though =) so i suppose i should continue its COE =)

Then continue la. Engine is good, just continue. You need your money for better things like education and give to your parents. Don't waste on GF and all that crap. Money hard to get.

 

I still hate this damn layout. The back of my head is hurting like hell already.

Come to think of it, i think its a good idea. Been around SBF too much, need to study. Now is there a setting on FB like this? Then it will force me to log off asap. :D

renew 5 year la.

5 year is quite long time,

u may aredi got ur moneys worth so no need to feel wasted if want to scrap it then.

 

Kr is more than enuf for sg roads.

 

I feel my 2a bike is overkill for local road and traffic, and its only 250cc.

after 5 years. how to get rid of the bike? really scrap ah

 

wa i see the PQP, should have renew coe on january man only 800++ now almost 1400 liao, reaching double soon!!!

So does that mean if you renew 10 years, you cannot renew after the 10 years over?

i really do not recommend the 5 years COE renewal...might as well get another 2b bike.

i wont even think of this option....at least i know my bike is safe from problems....buying another 2nd hand also around 5 years + coe left, more expensive, no guarantee its good condition.
