Hi guys, I want to know, what is actually a rectifier problem?

When do you know that you need to do service of the rectifier?

What are the problems cause when you have rectifier problems??

 

I actually have problem with my SP, while on stop or idle on a traffic light, without rpm dropping, engine still working as normal BUT suddenly engine die. I have no probz on kick start again. But kinda crazy to be stopping in the middle of the road and suddenly ure bike die and need to fast2 start when the light goes GREEN!

Can any of you guys enlighten this prob.

whats ur idling rpm?

Maybe try set higher.

idling rpm is arnd 1.4..hmm. i doubt so is idling prob

Rectifier fault, as below:-

1.excessive charging voltage, more than 15V

2.unstable charging voltage at high RPM.(if the Rectifier connector fault also the same problem)

 

for TS,

how month/year old of your battery?

Rectifier can't repair only replace..

As wat fx110 mentioned & u need a muiltmeter..

 

Rectifier problem can damage ur battery due to unstabe & overcharging....so check ur charging voltage 1st b4 buying a new battery...

What if clutch in and engine dies? Idling rpm is at 2k when HOT, 1.5 when warm.

i got similar problem . perhaps ur rectifier spoil , so it doesnt charge ur battery . and when it dies , its hard to start up because battery going to flat ba. change rectifier 2nd hand can get it at $36..
