Oh well.... not all. But the ones many of my friends run into are like that. To be fair met some of the girls who stick with their bf even during poverty. But far and few. What about you? if a rich and handsome promising young chap comes after you with all that romance persistantly, will you give up your bf?

Well... some girls will just come and say because you cannot get yourself a Singaporean girl, so you paint them all bad. For that, it makes you a loser. If you are good, why don't you go and make yourself rich so the girls will come to you? It's about wealth again...

 

My friend in the SAF, dumped by his gf when he was terminated from SAF and his future bleak when he had to repay $50k... One in many cases. I recall how I was despised when a girl sees me riding and choosed to sit in my friend's car even though he kept asking her to take my bike repeatedly. For girls who like to enjoy the thrills of riding, choose the guy with bigger bike over the guy with the smaller bike, or even enjoys the attention to have guys swept under her feet. I remember being scolded by a girl that no one dares to 'put her aeroplane' and I was the first one when I refused to turn up for her outings. Am I one of her options? After some communicating, it turned out I wasn't the only one who refused to bow. ... oh well... the examples don't stop.

 

best is the good old days, my grandparents were matched made that time, made good sense.

 

when my grandma passed on last time, my grandfather was so sad, after all she gave him 7 children, looked after the kids while he worked as a carpenter. Picture of happiness.

 

You know what? They also only met each other for one week before they got married. But it turned out so great because last time, people were less selfish. no LV bags, no 2 litre cars, no expensive dinners, but people were GENUINELY happy.

 

This is what modern girls dun understand, you dun need money to be happy, you need family to be happy. self gratification for material goods only go so far. new iPad, so what?

 

There're guys who're really @#$% too... but now what I see are that girls cheat more than guys. Maybe I can be proven wrong.

 

I guess matching making is the thing of the past when values are different. Nowadays, I don't expect match making to be very applicable. But at least don't dump your bf just because a richer guy is pursuing after the girl with fervour.

 

Very sad to say... some of my friends who made it in later part of their lives choose not to get attached or marry. They came across girls during their earlier days who took them for granted despite their commitment. Ironically, having more money to spare, girls to come them now.

So stuff them with money, see what kind of happiness that is? Bimbo mentality. But there are Sg gals who make their own happiness, thru careers, biz, so why aim for all the bimbos. Maybe some guys mingle in all the wrong places. There's goto be a common interest to find the right gals, maybe biker gals are not like that.

Same... I always tell my friends... what is a girl without a car, without interest in cars, without licence, no interest in taking a licence doing in a male dominated car forum.

Sad to say... To be fair the girls I spoke about comes from a wide array of background. Including girls from traditional churches. And the worst sort when girls don't even think you are fit to be a normal friend because you ride a motorcycle. anyway, many happy single SG women around who buy their own LV handbags and live happy contented lives. if they get into a relationship, its because they wish to find a partner to share lives and experiences with, not cause they need some man to provide for them and take care of them. they are looking for a partnership.

 

women will leave a relationship for various reasons, maybe the relationship is not going anywhere, maybe one party has changed and they are no longer compatible, etc.

only the insecure men will interpret this as the woman leaving them for someone with more money. it doesnt just boil down to money all the time

 

the SG girls who are fishing around for rich men are the "old-fashioned" ones that think the guy should provide for them (ie. buy everything for them and pamper them), these girls should wake up their idea.
