my sp i always pump front 245 back 255 lols

Tyre will not explode but overinflating will cause..

- smaller contact patch, not recommended to use this setup in the rain

- uneven wear on tyre, as the centre will become botak rather quickly

- is it above the max pressure printed on the tyre? later everyone say 'explode then u know' :D

Overinflating slightly is however good for:

- crisp handling especially in the roll axis

- better fuel economy, due to smaller contact patch, less rolling resistance

Check your bike manual. There's a 1up and 2up air pressure settings. But if its a short trip (within sg), its not so critical. Just make sure that the pressure is correct when tyres are cold.

Try to follow the manual recommended pressure if you're using the same tyre size as stock.

Reason being, the recommended pressure takes into account vehicle weight and other factors. In my case my 2B bike has huge tyres and they are run 'underinflated' for correct handling, because the bike is very light. Reading off from the tyre sidewall pressure would mean a stupidly high tyre pressure - accident waiting to happen & improper tread wear.

If you don't like to 'stock' pressure then just customise from there :3
