Hei bro..how much u bought ur wave R wif de red brake calliper with de current C.O.E ? Where u bought it from?

I bought my wave R at Looi's. I traded in my phantom200. Spoil liao. suspension and wheel bearing broken. Glad they still traded.

I bought my wave r special edition for 4K with current coe (excluding trade-in). Actually 3k plus cause the number help me strike 4d:cheer:, plus trade in I paid abt 2.6k

I very happy with the wave r special edition. good fuel consumption and smooth riding.

But one thing that bothers me is the pickup. Cause I always pillon my gf. then even at the extreme left kenna tail gate at the start. damn sian. I juz wanna up my pickup. I'm happy with going at 80-90 on the roads la.

So Loois ask me change sprocket loh. See how. next time I change my chain will change bigger sprockets.:thumb:

Fast throttle doesn't make a bike go any faster than it originally can lah bro.

It just lets u throttle to the max with a slight twist rather than a complete twist.

Cheers !

smaller sprocket got better top end. but u might need to open throttle more to get the bike going. so in the end u will comsume more fuel... coz if u ride like how u ride with original sprocket size, the bike got not enough power at all...

bigger sprocket got better pick up, but if u ride as per normal like how u ride with original sprocket size, the FC might be better in fact... unless with a bigger sprocket and u start throttle happy, then the FC will also suffer.

tested and proven.

c'est la vie~

true..but bigger sprocket results in very low top end..

try looking at kup racers.. they race at kallang so dun nd to go fast.. so their sprockets are damn big!

top end as in top speed?

So if I change bigger sprocket and ride the same as b4, it wont affect FC much unless I throttle happy right? ok cool.

I see those JB cub accelerate sibei fast. taxi cannot tailgate when light turn green:thumb:

:offtopic: speaking of taxi, muz careful of the yellow one and silver arrow one. esp the silver arrow. wah lau I see the acceleration power of it damn scared:giddy: better not cut in front of them during red light haha..

yupz... top end = top speed.

from my own account. my stock sprocket is 43. i reduced it to 39.

the bike's feeling is very smooth... but going up flyover slopes on expressway, u can feel the lack in power. even moving off u need to open throttle more, if not the bike cannot move off properly... end up high rev-ing the bike. therefore high FC comsumed. and personally... i dun feel much difference...

then i changed from 39 back to 43. but i dropped one teeth for the front gear. good acceleration. slight throttle and the bike is already hitting 5Krpm. that means i open less throttle and save more petrol. but i ended up throttle happy, coz i love the acceleration feel... and ended up burning more petrol.

but travelling 80km/h on expressway... the engine is screaming as if its travelling at 120km/h...

in the end... still stock. :faint:

c'est la vie~

Oh yes, juz my 2 cents worth,

for the wave R special edition. The rear disc tend to squeak when you apply tje brakes.

Loois told me say boh pian. Disc brakes with holes will tend to squeak.

either that or - because original brake pad is a harder material. If you change to softer. the brakes will not kpkb but wear out faster and the braking will not be as effective.

then wat if u change to oversized disc??

that i'm not too sure leh. for myself if it ain't broken there's no need to fix it. haha.. effective braking can liao.. and maybe i'll juz keep the original sprocket if going 80kmph will seem like 120kmph :giddy:

ohyah for my wave R. when I ride up to 60kmph. can feel engine abit stressed. got slightly heavier vibrations. But when I accelerate to 80kmph - super smooth leh. hah.. dont feel much stress on the engine. but my stock wave R w/o box max speed is 100. cant seem to hit more than that.. i also scared i fly away.
