hey anglers... any size of hooks recommended used on singapore waters? i mean some of my friends are using really small hooks and i don;t like the idea of it.. cause normally if small hooks i would get this type of catfish, in malay they call "usat".... enlighten me guys!

Bro, is u talking abt Usat any hook size also Usat bite one la. I use Big Hook also kanna Usat. Knn usat. Wan to make it extinct also cannot? Hmmm.. lol.. hehehe.

Lure fishing? I gave up long ago already. Last time did try. Wasted money only. Sinkapore fish no eat lure la especially at the sea one.

My Favourite fishing playground also close liao. Become Freshwater liao. Sianz ar. Now looking into SURF Fishing. Going to get a NEW multiplier fishing rod liao.

Haha... that is bcos those place that normally ppl goes to are all overfish and so the fish see lure they also know its lure!! Seriously I was at Y**** and saw a big peacock bass and so quick cast the lure ahead and let its lure pass it... wah they are totally not interested!!

 

But there is this small pond in a private compound in Lim Chu Kang and cos my friend knows the owner so he let us go fish all we want... guess what I use lure and out of 10 throw there is at least 3-4 strike!! No kidding. All huran (Lei Hei) and super shiok! So I concluded Lure fishing is fun but can only do it at virgin spot where the fish have never seen lure before. Having said that... I don't think there is anywhere easily accessible that is like that anymore... But I am sure if you want to wear camo and go bashing to Poyan or Murai there will be Toman who will willing take your lure

Anyone here still going fishing? I am looking for different places to fish where I can find many different fishes. So far Pasir Ris FW3 no good to catch any fish. Pasir Ris park pond and Punggol pond ok sometimes. From one fish to 3 fishes in 3 hours. I am looking to catch more fishes and these pond location dont release fishes often. Most pretend to release fishes but actually there is no fish released.

 

Also looking for people who does boat fishing.
