Today i hit 290km mileage when the yellow light become static.

 

Whoa! I only get 160km sometimes less before the blinking light starts... on a trip to KL I got 200 before the light came on solid.

Hi Gixxers, I'm riding a K6G1 and wish to consult whether anyone has encountered this bike problem which i'm having now. My bike idling is not constant and rises from the actual 1.1 to about 1.5 frequently when warming up or stationary at traffic light. When riding at higher rpm,the bike will dies off when dropping to low rpm if i crutch-in to down gear at traffic light. It will start immediately when electric starts. If it didnt dies off, i will need to hold my crutch at biting point so that the rpm wont rise to 1.5. The mechanic found out that the top four fuel injector keep pumping fuel despite it only functions at sudden surge of the trottle. It has been at the workshop for 4 days and the cause of the mulfunction is still unknown. Well it seems like a rare case. So hope you can offer some valuable information. Thanks Lots.

 

It really a very rare case, i think i know which bike shop you send to. Cos i was there also , and they use my bike to compare to your. And truth enough, your 2nd injector is sparying lot of petrol, i see laio ,i also blurr. Maybe you can go to gixxer.com to check if any other gixxer rider around the world also encounter these problem. And the worst problem is there is no FI code.

 

can share wat the prob when the cause of the malfunction is known pls...

since its a 00 model,

go for valve clearance

change all wheel bearings, steering cone bearings,

check fork seal, dust cover

change spark plugs, engine oil,

check tires, brake pads, service brake calipers + change brake fluid

check spockets, chain, clutch cable.

 

after all this, its gd as brand new

Mileage wise, need to count in alot of factors..

 

RPM whereby u upshift, travelling speed, in heavy traffic road or expressway, types of mod, riders weight etc etc..

 

But 160 before the light blinks is abit hardcore..

i will recommend you semi synthetic oil, since its a 7 yr old bike use a higher viscosity oil. flush the radiator, change coolant.

However i already minus off the additional mileage before dividing. Got improve.

Today i hit 290km mileage when the yellow light become static. Haven't minus off the fake mileage caused by the sprocket.

There are always some who believe and some who do not. That makes us individuals. kekekeke.

Now i was wondering whether the tyre change to 2CT will improve fuel consumption or not. The fuel price now is insane.

I did encounter this problem twice but not the other symptoms. I went back to my mech and he increased my idling to 1.2k and so far, it didnt happen again.

hi kaka321 how u manage to hit 290km mileage ??? the most i can go is 200 to 210 the yellow light lights up. Can give some tips on how u ride and wat have u add on to ur bike. My FC really lousy cannot tahan.

Singkiwi- of course. Your taloymade race exhaust echo the entire AYE tunnel. The fuel consumption echo along. haha~

 

nocturnized- hmm ya... i think i need to go inflat tyres soon. being 1 months since i last inflated.

 

p3pp3r- i ride the same as everyone. 100+ at expressway, 70+ at small roads.

 

today top up 14.4 litres of 95. oh my... after discount $27.50.

let's take 290km/14.4 litre = 20.14km per litre.

Due to the ratio change of front sprocket, maybe take away 2km per litre.

I achieved 18km per litre.

In another words, 1 singapore dollar equivalent to 9km for my bike. So expensive!

If i will to recommend, i would think you can consider the leo vinc full system 4-2-1. Alot of saving in weight and it street legal too. The sound is nice also.

Akrapoivc is good , but dun have street legal full, only got what red rose is using now, y-pipe plus 2 end can, And it more expensive than the leo vinc full.

The only problem i can think of , this that the ECU is spoil, as the ECU that is controlling the 2nd injector to work, but for max03 case, the 2nd injector just spary petrol even though it at idling. By rite the 2nd injector only work at high rpm. so max03 bike just die off as the fuel is to much cosing it to be very very rich. And all his spark is totally black. and you can think his milage per tank is very very low.

SG petrol very expensive now..........
