Hi, sorry to intrude but if the headlight is on, 11.1v is normal. when everything off, the reading shld be around 12.0V and above. my scooter reads 12.6V when everything off.

My voltmeter is tapped to my headlights...

On dat time voltmeter reading is 10V-11V...

Start engine reading change to 12V+...

But neva hit 13V before...

Guessed some voltage lost along the way coz connection wasn't direct form

the battery...

 

The term is called voltage drop. it should be less den 0.1V. so i guess it is better for you to check with your mech regarding this issue.

First thing check if ur rectifier is oem, usually thats the main cause ur batt charging aint good. thats y mech always recommend oem rectifier and genuine batt not local!! hahaha

 

 

singkiwi, big probability is due to the heat too, bike easily heated up/fan on may cause the coil to burn too??

 

Mr Who, u often stuck in jams or ur temp above 100deg??

my 08 1 days stall 4 times.....hahaha...

sorry bro, so far still NO fix to it......try to update with hong leong about this stall, maybe they have found the fix.....

 

i sold my 08 last month....so dissapointed about 08....i used to have 2 unit 08, on my 1st 08, i still cant believe its real, sold her, get a new 08 again, still stall...plus headlight cracked too....give up....

I did mine at Tachyon Motors in Ubi. Forgot the cost though. Dunno $200 plus or $300 plus. Later I check my bike receipts and get back to you...
