Indeed, a very detailed troubleshooting guide ! Appreciate the effort bro. But the actual problem is not vibration bro, instead it's the mirrors swinging freely about it's pivot point e.g when you fold in the mirrors.... I've read through a couple of threads from other forums and none have a solution to it...in the end, most of em end up purchasing new ones, be it OEM or aftermarket. look's like i'll be heading towards that same direction too :(

does it apply to all k7 models and above, i wonder:sian:

Hi guys, am riding a 600 k9 and just wondering what are the available aftermarket mirrors for this gixxer of mine... bike's pretty much stock so toying with the idea of slowly doing it up... currently the mirrors are top on my list cause the stock ones are beginning to swing about freely and it's really annoying. o_O perhaps the bros and sis here could shed some light.... tks!

I've change mine myself to K9 mirrors (improved version) & it's more durable. If ur keen to know more, can pm me ur Hp, I will teach u how :)

in fact below k9 models the mirror after awhile will become loose & have to replace, no way to tighten (even u do so it last awhile)

I'm changing the front pilot lights to turn signals, so that I can use any aftermarket mirrors with the correct mountings. It's easier this way.

DIY, don't think workshop does such simple things.

On the subject of vibration, do u Guys feel excessive vibration on the handle grips when ull ride 100km/h and

Above?

There are signs of vibration around 120km/h but don't think it's considered excessive...i guess the next option is to upgrade to an aftermarket damper...say Ohlins...?

There's no need to rush into replacing parts, esp if you are new to the bike. Actually bike requires very little steering input on the move, so unless you are prepared to throw $800 into a new damper, better check other areas first.

Usually high speed vibration comes from bad tyres and wheels. There are 2 rectangular cushions at the front of fuel tank that tend to drop off. Poor chain condition also. Check basic things first. At 100kph, you are not even at half the bike's potential yet.

Guys, recently my timing chain been giving out that obvious sound. Would like to know how you guys go about tackling this issue? Understand that some of you guys go on to change the CCT to a manual one. Any idea where can I get a MCCT for my K9 600? Also, a mechanic told me that he can tighten the current auto CCT.... is that possible in the first place ? Anyone care to enlighten me on this... o_O

Anyone knows the original front and rear sprocket sizes for GSXR750?

Friend told me change sprocket sizes will affect speedo accuracy. True? I thought it's more the tyre sizing that affects.

That's what i thought so too... So is it ok if the sound comes about sometimes ? Usually during the first start of the day...
