I heard from the previous LTA officer who stopped me that K5 original brake light is led so it's okay.

Anyone can confirm this?

Yes. Our brake light is led. My signal light is light bulb type from ah boy. But quite small.

original brake light is LED but signal light is not. changing signal light to LED is fine but intergrated brake light with signal is illegal

From my encounters, led light is illegal unless it comes stock. Even led pole light they also catch.

2 wires only. But if want to do a proper job, you got to buy some connectors and have a crimping tool. Otherwise, just twist the wires together and black tape like wat every other bike shops do.

I was unable to salvage my mirrors. This is my first bike after 6 years so I am quite lost with workshops. Where should I go to find replacements for the mirrors and if there are aftermarket ones to choose from.

Hi guys,

just changed my battery today..

After that, when i started my bike, it cranked right up..

But it could not hold idle even after having hand on throttle for 30secs thereabouts.

 

The idle just retards and then dies off!!

 

Took it for a ride for about 20mins..

With some hard revs, high speed and low speed...

Still, stop at traffic light wth clutch in or neutral and no throttle, bike dies...

 

ANy idea whats wrong?

Alternator?

And workshops to recommend?

Other than UNIQUE?

Try adjusting ur idling higher first?

..fixed it... suspected PCiii mapping.. true enough.. got The Shop to remove it and try and they Called.to say Bike runs great now!!

Will remap the PCiii.next.time

Sounds fishy, unless PC3 was the last item you put in and did not tune, or you had a major change that affected fueling. If removing it helped, more likely the tap to TPS was bad or PC3 kaput.
