i think u can put the word police or even the logo, however cannot mod until the whole thing like a police vehicle and definately no sirens. i dont think there's a law against wearing police logo around either, just that if u fake saying u're police then u're in trouble.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

Are you sure you're allowed to put the word "POLICE" on your vehicle??! Logo maybe, but I think the word would probably cause trouble... o_O

dont think it's wrong if u put, it's just decoractive word art by itself. eg nothing illegal if u put on a police uniform and carry a fake gun, cosplay i mean.

however putting those on ur vehicle is bound to attract unwanted attention, thus TP most likely will summon the driver for any small mistakes.

Though I'm not sure if anyone would dare to dress exactly like a real police officer, uniform-like fashion is completely fine so long as we don't start using them as a means of intimidation or masquerading as authority.

That said I don't think anyone cares if you put so many reflective stickers on your bike - the more people get blinded by their own hi-beams/HIDs, the better :D Just don't put the word POLICE so prominently. You can use other words to personalise your own paramilitary force :p I think antique police or military logos are fine (Sheriff's star for instance, looks good on a Harley with panniers and windshield).

In terms of motorcycle cosplay though, the white FJR is still very effective as your own personal device to encourage "law and order" :D

just addon to my post, unless u advertise and tell ppl u're law enforcer which u're not, then u're breaking the law. on our roads, only special vehicles are allowed to have blinkers n sirens, so even if u drive a same model n sprayed the same paint job with police on it, i dont think it's illegal. however it's those small actions on the road that's grey area, like u horning someone to give way to u. thus having those words or logos makes u stand out on the road and dependant on ur actions, might become illegal. in other countries, there're decommissioned police vehicles with paint job n blinkers intact that's sold to car dealers. and driving those on the road is not illegal.

another scenerio is like carring a weapon on the streets. if u carry a fake weapon and tell everyone its a fake and u threating somebody is just a show, then it's not illegal. however threatening a stranger with a fake n not informing anyone will yield u the same charge as carring a real weapon.

conclusion, it's a double-edge sword, it can be pretty as an decor item or cut u if u're not careful, and also do u want to stand out from the crowds?

Though I'm not sure if anyone would dare to dress exactly like a real police officer, uniform-like fashion is completely fine so long as we don't start using them as a means of intimidation or masquerading as authority.

i've been to a cosplay event and there was these teams who dress like police n swat, carring fake weapons and badge ids. i was shocked at first but soon realise they were fakes. and i also found out that with rules & regulations, carring a fake weapon publicly is all right as long the locals or security is informed. of course safety must also be observed.

thus dont think cosplay is anyhow, they also have their own set of rules to obey.

Ehhh.... You all better search for thread by Ghostly Phantom if it is still around or go search for STOMP, his bike (Phantom) was summon by Police because he put the word Police on his Big Big windscreen some years back. Poor chap had to go to the police station to write a statement explaining why he did it.

The pic in the TS post is ok because it's different colour from local police.

If you are thinking of making your bike look like local TP bike, don't. Just don't.

Why would anyone want to put the word 'Police' on their private vehicles?

Its does not ward away any vandals, thieves and dangerous driving. Once people sees that private number plate. They lagi like to damage, steal or behave dangerously against the vehicle operator.

*trying to type politically correct words*

By all means do up stickers or so on to make your bike stand out and obvious against other road users. Just be careful against folks that objects to such glaring unique-ness and vandalise your bike.

Having the word 'police' stamped big big on your vehicle is not exactly legal. In the first place, why would one want to have it on in the first place? The only reason is maybe to make others think that it is indeed a police vehicle. And that I think already tantamounts to impersonation. And impersonation is illegal.

Back to the thread, the reflective stickers are indeed cool and will definitely make your bike stand out. Like a sore thumb, I think.. Haha. Kudos to you for trying to be different if you decide to go with that motif. A definite head turner though ..

Cosplay is one thing. But carrying around a fake gun is another bro. In sg, u are not allowed to carry around a fake gun (replica) in public.

well i did say local security or the public be informed its fake rite. u tell ppl it's replica and u're carring it for show, it's illegal?

on the other hand if u threaten another without informing anyone it's a show, now that's illegal.
