Euro slides again against US$

FRANKFURT - The euro kept up its slide against the US dollar on Tuesday, dropping below US$1.24, with concern over the future of European integration rattling traders as the Netherlands prepares to vote on the EU constitution.

FRANKFURT - The euro kept up its slide against the US dollar on Tuesday, dropping below US$1.24, with concern over the future of European integration rattling traders as the Netherlands prepares to vote on the EU constitution.

On Sunday, French voters roundly rejected the charter - creating uncertainty about the European Union's future and raising the prospect that international investors could become more wary of putting money in European assets.

In morning European trading, the 12-nation euro fell as low as US$1.2371 before edging back up to US$1.2373 - down nearly a cent from the US$1.2466 it bought in New York late Monday.

The British pound was down to US$1.8137 from US$1.8227 on Monday. The dollar rose slightly against the Japanese yen, climbing to 108.26 yen from 107.97 yen.

The EU constitution faces another test when the Netherlands votes on Wednesday, with polls indicating strong resistance toward it there. Nine countries, including Germany have approved the document - mostly through parliamentary votes.

Jean-Claude Trichet, president of the European Central Bank, said the continent is facing a difficult time in the aftermath of the French vote.

'After the French referendum and before the Dutch referendum, we are facing today a difficult moment for Europe and for our 458 million European fellow citizens,' he said during a speech in Montreal on Monday.

But he was optimistic that the EU would weather any crisis.

'I am sure that Europeans will together find the way allowing them to overcome present difficulties as they did in the past.'

F**K, still not right

hehehe, seem like I have reached the G spot of the Bing, bike is smooth. hahahaha.

Bike hit reserve at 292km this morning, will stay with present tunning and try out on another 2 full tank to guage the average fuel consumption. On my trial and error for almost 2weeks, best it touches reserve at 278km & average 260km.

Formerly, best recorded was tuned by Ah Ong, hit reserve at 330km (without Headlight cover). Worst was by Professional Mechanic Lump about 2-3yrs ago, bike hit reserve at 220km. Last Mechanic tuned it and bike touches reserve at 254km, 1-2yrs ago, Ling tuned it and managed to touch 275km.

Less drag maybe? Your light cover (front fairing I presume) is like a big barn door, catching Big Wind bro :cheeky:

Yo Suzu,

check this out and get the translator goin, 13 cans tested on the GS12 http://www.advrider.com/forums/images/smilies/eekers.gif

http://www.motorradonline.de/static/specials/Auspuff_1200GS_2005/img/auspuff/grafik_bilder/AlleModelle.jpghttp://www.motorradonline.de/static/specials/Auspuff_1200GS_2005/img/auspuff/grafik_bilder/Messungen2.jpg

Over here:

13 can test on GS12

But.......( damn! there's always a BUT! )

Their conclusion:

Rough translation

There can be a recommendation therefore for none of the test subjects. Would damage, for with its throughout good until exzellenten processing, the Äußeren more pleasing substantially, the mostly clearly slighter weight and price as well as that passport form prime gather the accessories pots vis-à-vis the original part strongly points.

Go figure man http://www.advrider.com/forums/images/smilies/patch.gif

I remembered what ong told me and did accordingly. If another 2 full tank still gave me 292 to 300km, then what ong said is true.

fix that as I gave up touring, more for look. for touring, I prefer her to be naked, not even the spot lights.
