Hi all beemers,

 

i just bought a RT1100R, was wondering is it advisable to send the bike to PML for a health check and servicing? Anyone riding RT?

 

And where can i get the accessories for the bike?

I brought my bike to Alan from Perfection as many recommend. Saw how he works and had a good chat with him. Satisfied with his work and even left my bike there for more works even though it's my first visit.

 

Previous owner visits M-technik, I went over there and spoke to Eris. Very arrogant i should say, didn't like his attitude and the way he work. Told him i will fix up a time (he says need appointment) when i am free. And u know what's next.......

 

M-technik has some accessories. Many overseas websites as well. Tons.....

Also, i googled for owners manual and accessories, couldnt find any websites that still have this model R1100RT in stock..sigh, maybe its really too old to keep the spares.

 

Does perfection carry spare parts for bikes as old as 1997?

my current pannier's rubber lining is torn and worn, thus unable to close properly, and sometimes rain water might seep in during rain. Where can i get the box serviced?

Sorry to read this, Kitto. I share your anger. You know about my case, right?

All I can say is, cover your bike. I now do this religiously, even though it is a bit of a hassle. Like someone here said, once it becomes a routine, you won't feel the inconvenience as much.

 

Next, bring your pics and lodge a police report. Then bring your pics and the report to your MP or town council. Try to persuade them to install some security cameras. I doubt they will do so but no harm trying.

 

If you still encounter vandals or see people sitting/playing on your bike, I would suggest getting an alarm. Downside is you need to ride your bike more often as the alarm drains the battery.

 

Do not take security for granted. There are low-lives who just can't stand people having things they don't have.

Give me one in any color, man.

 

BTW, a friend of mine riding a R1100R broke his left-side pannier cover. Anyone who has any lobang for a used one please help. Thanks.

Hey thanks bro, is that the part no for the pannier? im thinking of only servicing the rubber lining, not to change the whole pannier.

 

btw bro, you happen to know where can i get the original top box for my RT? I was thinking of installing the HP top box, but really unsure how it will look like.

Last thing i know is that they dont have a GS 1200. Only the 800 is available as new.
