All i can say is, it is damn stupid.

 

To me, every bike is the same. There is no such things as "only agent can do" If that is the case, how come other shops who are doing BMW bikes can survive?

when the gs1150 was first released in uk, i made an appointment for a test ride and duly went to a dealership where i was handed the keys of a gs with 400km on the clock and went riding with my wife for over 4 hours....

 

we need to provide adequate feedback to the dealership's senior management and include the HQ informed of these matters to ensure that they buck up their service.

4 hours just to have a rider's feel on a new breed of bike .i would need 4 days @ least.

PI will not bother to get the com from BMW to do the diagnostic.... so

But they are really nice ppl...

Maybe we should do a regular meet for the Bimmer riders here,

to know each other and share whats going on.

I don't think not all Bimmer riders belongs to the local BMW rider club.

What say you jojo124 ? Meet up place and time.

I sure some brudders are looking forward to meet as well.

i have friends who bought new bikes,Jap and conti,from Looi's and say that they are glad with their aftersale service.personally i've never bought any bike from him but it's the place i go to drool an touch the new bikes. Couple of years ago i planned to of buy a Kawasaki and learned that he takes in the bulk of it.i would have bought the versys from him if i hadnt saw the bmw at another shop.

I do not go to PML to have my R1100R serviced for i refuse to pay any etra charges that they may impose.i'm fortunate not to have any major issues with my bike. just some acostly wear and tear stuff.I purchase the parts from pml.Juz fyi according to Calvin,boss of Dili trading (shop where i bought my bike(Dili also a pi for bmw)), pml do not give any discounts for their spare parts purchased by bike shops/bike taukays.They pay same price as you and me.

To those about to rock...i mean get their spanking new BMWs...I salute you.for u guys have deep pockets anyway congrats and we shall all meet one day.

Totally agree. How many BMW bikes can PI sell to justify the need of diagnostic machine. I would very much glad to know that any other workshop had them. The other cheaper diagnostic solution is from GS911, it cost US$549 and not including the yearly software upgrade. Even if GS911 does work, what about parts availability.? I was told from LOois even if any warranty claim is approve, it'll take 3 to 4 weeks for shipping and had parts fixed. Sorry I can't wait. I wanna spent time riding the machine then waiting for it sitting in the workshop.

Perfection, Dili and Mtechnics are other mech that can offer hardware services. PML controls the software services. Till date, i do not know who else hv such machine invested in their workshops.

 

Btw i'm still waiting for a reply frm BMW. And count me in. But next week can?

I can agree with you to a certain extend for this, but Perfection also have the dignostic equipment as far as i know...

 

If it can perform the job as good as PML, who cares....
