heh, from your Mystic & SDR, can tell u like those chrome-looking ones. Not chrome also u will WANT to chrome them. he he he

I'm like GSGabes, dun like it at all. Doesn't looks as hi-tech anymore. The classic look doesn't seem suitable. Oh yeah, I somehow associate chrome-look with classic.

I'll take the bus". But, why look for trouble, right? Wow...I think I've matured a lot. Hiye fellas, my beloved Bertha will be under the tender loving care of Chua over the weekend. There's some problem with the electrical wiring. Needs to get some parts from PML also. So, decided not to rush him for my trip to KL this weekend. Asked him to do slowly lah, so he can do properly also. Think it will be worse if something happens while I'm on my way. Anyway, requested him to service my starter also and help see what else wear and tear need to change/service. Sigh.... just now I saw the 'skeleton' of my bike, because Chua dismantled almost all the covers uh. hahaha. U guys enjoy urself this weekend lah. I'm back to taking bus....

......BRAND new bike is the best choice, just like what GS1200 and Cyclop did. So go for it, RT1200, GS1200, RT1200, GS1200, RT1200, GS1200 .... get both lah. :cheer:

Sigh..... I learnt the hard way.....http://www.advrider.com/forums/images/smilies/bluduh.gif The first car that I bought, a used car, was a lemon http://www.advrider.com/forums/images/smilies/umph.gif Didn't know how it should actually feel being my first vehicle and all, can't tell its querks till 'things' start happening. End up spending quite a bit of money fixing it up, to clear the deffered defects so to speak. If its advertised as accident free, careful owner, only use the best oil, never stress it before, yadah yadah..... would you honestly believe it? We can never really how much its been abused unless we sent it for a full inspection, and how many of us would actually do it?

I once came across a Vicky some time back along the PIE passing Kallang. It overtook me and I was not going slow. I can hear its engine screaming, as though its gonna pop a piston anytime. My Mrs turn to me and said:"Probably handing the car to the new owner tomorrow, pity the guy..." That about sums it up.

Then again, new doesn't mean good. One of the bike that I bought brand new came with a warpped rear wheel. Bad enough for me to think its the tires, bought a new set, found out the truth during balancing. Can check out the story on one of my older posting. The bike shop that change my tire said that based on experience, the bike must have been drop. In my line of work, I deal with multi-million equipment, but some of which, fresh from the factory, we termed them as "unfit for human consumption".

So its more of the luck of the draw, buying new will help to minimise the risk. o_O

This design has already been out for almost 2 years but the local agent did not bring it in. :nono:

Hey Cyclops, agree totally with u. Since 2000, I had bought 6 used bikes. Each time I spent no no less than $2000 refurnishing n repairing the bikes jus to make it as tip top as possible  Never tot of buying a new one cos I knew they were not my ultimate dream but cant help spending the $ cos I always want my bike to look n feel tip top:sweat:

Buying a new bike certainly gives u a more secured feeling given that its under 2 yrs factory warranty but then again, who knows ..... Jus pray hard bradder :cheeky:

Never seen that SIDI boots before. R u looking for a lower cut one ? Do u require waterproofing ? If not, u can try the Garne boots from JR. Simple boots tat cost abt $150

Looking for one that can double as a casual boots. Not into logo and flare, just something simple and monotone. My feet sweat a bit, so need one thats airy, else at the end of a days ride, all of you must put on gas mask.....
