Hi - I am looking for a R80G/S or R80GS or R100GS.... Anybody around who wants to sell? I know that there are not many around in SING. I own a R80G/S PD, but cant bring it into Singapore :-(... So my friend is riding it now in Europe...

Willing to pay a fair price.

I believe thats your signal light bulb.. It doesn't cost alot even if u buy the bulb yourself. Definitely less than $10.

But before u do that open up the signal cover and check the wires connected to your signal light cover that attaches to the bulb itself. Usually, its just loose connections. Tighten it up and and on your ignition.. if its ok then its good. If not, yeah need to change bulbs. But very unlikely though.

Thanks bro.

Anyway, its the headlight bulb. H7. :)

Hi

Am really a newbie on this thread. I need some guide with the Servicings of a PI bike. Can someone guide me? I wana know also abt the international warranty honoured by the KL BMW dealership.

I understand that this question may have been asked before but i really hope someone can enlighten me.

I have done some homework but alot of the info are applicable to non sg bikes.

At the same time i need a low seat if any one is willing to sell for a reasonable price. My ride is a GSA 2012 late.

Technically your bike comes with 2 years World Wide guarantee from BMW Motorrad. The guarantee is applicable provided your bike is serviced by authorised dealer that can registered your bike’s service work to BMW Motorrad in Germany (BMW Motorrad has links to ALL authorized dealers service data base World Wide and can trace your bike’s maintenance records by simply key in you chassis number ). If your bike is not serviced by authorised dealer then your guarantee is void. However, if the PI has given you guarantee then they have to honour it and most likely they will pay the parts themselves. Do not worry nothing will happen to your GSA, it is pretty much a “bullet proof” bike.

Try eBay. Selling for around US$26-31 without shipping or simply just buy one from PML.

Thanks keratsini for the reply.will be collecting my bike end of Feb. had called mteknic to ask abt the skid plate, throttle sensor guard, headlite protector, petrol one protector, anti glarE shield and oil cooler guard which is abt 700 in total. Reasonable?

Called Autobavaria KL and found that for most of the servicings, costs is RM 1000 for 10k intervals. Reasonable?

i just did my 10k there. was moving up to Cameron so planned a visit trip there.

cost me 600 RM.

the killer was the engine oil.

1 bottle 100RM.:pity:

so my advise is change your EO in SG first.

cheers.

Honestly I do not know. I dont bother with all those extras as I'm not going to run my bike for Paris-Dakar like route. I only bought Engine Guard Extensions from Adventure Designs and BMW OEM frame protectors.

For Auto Bavaria charges sad_how already replied to you.

Cheers!!

I read that many version of the BMW bikes such as RT, 1150GS and certain models of 1200GS suffered from FD (Final Drive) bearing failure. Í am wondering how many people here actually encountered this problem personally and at what mileage.

Also, who has replaced this bearing even though it was not mentioned in the maintenance schedule.
