Last time i use to plug in earpiece while riding. anything which is 20min or more. 10min ride to market, forget it lah... But now i'm using BT headset. switch my bluetooth on and i'm good to go with music inbuilt my FF helmet. Volume better be something not so loud. or you can kiss your ear drums good bye.

* do you know? i turn my ipod to 50% volume, windblast can still be heard. Imagine how much harm wind blast does to your poor ears? Better put on your ear plugs if you wanna save your ears*

that's so true.. after all my gears, bike is warmed and ready to go ;D

Dangerious at night.. Tp wont really care if you use that during day time.

Your BT headset can fit inside your FF helmet?

What kind of BT headset you using?

Let me tell you if you are caught riding with earphones, you can be charge with dangerous riding.

If you are still on probation and do not have enough points, then maybe license revoke.

Some of you say no problem when you were stopped by TP, but not so lucky with a poor guy we know.

Everytime we would disturb him by asking,

"Eh share with us how you got license revoked?"

"Because i wear earphones while riding."o_O

nonsense. the last 1 check it was not an offence..

From the mouth of TP.

As far as any TP is concerned (I think they already too tired to really borther), you can blast your music as loud as bursting your own ear drums till you bleed from your ears, nose, eyes & any orifice. As long as:

1) You do not litter the tarmac, trees, pavement with your bodyparts, blood & innards.

2) You do not damage any public properties like tarmac, trees, pavement, kerbs, railings, lamp posts, signboards & so on.

3) You are not the cause of the above 2 points to other road users.

4) And you be responsible should any of the other 3 points above is applicable to you. For the pillion, for his/her family members. Your family members & those who care enough for you to not wish to see you with your body littered on the road or your hearing loss due to your music blasting exercises.

Listen to your music. But be alert to your surroundings. We still have blind & deaf road users using the road with us. Be considerate to yourself.

Wah, then instructor tell you your mistakes how you hear?

For class 2b road evaluation, I took off helmet and earphones to listen to instructor tells us things, when we stop to take a breather at the roadside.

For revisions, evaluations & even the practical tests, the earphones was stucked in my ears.

I sometimes dont even remember to take them off, even when I am not listening to music.

isnt it dangerous??

i often ride with earpiece on, but low volume music..but normally i will be extra careful when listening to music..

i feel too its quite a hazard especially w loud music, cant even hear the horns..

I think this Mp3 stuff is just too overated.

I use my MP3 at about 80-85% of its max volume, in ear earpiece and use a full face to commute.

And I dont have any problem hearing other veh's exhaust systems or horns.

But, i just use the Left side of the earpiece.

Got scooters mod their boxes and front fairings to include in speakers to play radio and mp3 before lah. Nothing new.

But for tat, the rider will have to apply for radio licence. Thus they are legally allowed to blast music

I listen to mp3 when travelling too. In ear earbuds set ipod to 50% volume.

Having songs playing keeps me awake...without earpiece the wind noise to my ears really is unbearable!

But when I pillon people, I don't listen to songs...got somebody sitting behind me with their life in my hands is enough to keep me awake throughout the journey.

A strange phenomenon which I noticed recently...Nowadays I keep see drivers listening to Ipod while driving. In this case...would TP catch them and revoke their license too? :o

Is there a bluetooth ear piece for use inside the helmet that can recommend?

That is dependant on your ears, helmet and cushions lah.

And the blue tooth earpies to answer calls or to listen to music.

I have the BH103, I think its two in ear canal earpiece with a necklace pandant looking controller. Got wires a bit. But its blue tooth.

For listening tomy handphone mp3 and answers calls.

i also listen to music while riding, i left the music on quite loud but only on my left ear, thus if ppl still honk i can hear them, will tend to check on the mirrors more often while listening to music to be aware of surroundings, have to keep me awake from the long boring jouney from work to home especially in kpe.....

I listen to music on my iPod Shuffle everyday while riding. No problems at all hearing horns, etc...

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

Listen to my sony with bass cranked up. IEM which blocks out ambient wind noise. Just make it a point to ride aware. If i let myself get into a situation where someone has to use their horn on me, i've let the situation get out of my control.

guys, just sharing this with you.

back then when taking theory lessons, i still remember the instructor talking about earphones while riding. According to him, it is illegal blah blah blah etc etc. Keep in mind: That's according to him - have yet to check with the authorities.

Can anyone bust this myth?

Posted

I'll bust it for you. The instructor is shitting your lots.

and i don't understand what's with this listening to music makes u unaware of your surrounding theory. like absolutely NO link at all so can anyone care to explain?

Oh, and riding dangerously while listening music does not make listening to music while riding illegal. your friend license got revoked because he rode dangerously, not because he listened to music. there's difference.

i think got a point of time it was illegal to ride with earpiece, but it only came in effect for a few months b4 the government pull this rule away again as to why i am not sure, nowadays tp ride pass me they also didnt care, den when reach road blocks just pull them out just in case sometimes cant hear them talk but still hanging there den before ride off i put it on they never say anything
