best if your ride has a turbo to make full use of the thermal wrap.

All petrol engines can benefit from accelerating the exhaust gas stream. It increases the rate of thermal dissipation from the cylinder/block thus enhancing efficiency by increasing the 'heat capacity' of the system.

Like installing double heatsink in Mechwarrior. Theoretically. :p Results vary from type of bike (and engine design). Some benefit more than others. An aircooled, high rpm engine running lean for example is limited by thermal capacity and thus benefits a lot from wrapped header(s).

Oh if you have a turbo car then of course, the header wrap increases the amount of energy transferred to the turbo, which is -always- fun.

any proof to show thermal wrapping actually makes a significant performance difference ? because from wat i read its only used to prevent surrounding components from getting too hot and it retains moisture when it gets wet so it actually corrodes the metal of the exhaust

How much will it cost to fully wrap S4 headers? As most of you know S4 headers are prone to discolouration.
