You guys need to buy a bike cover.

If they don't see it.. they won't bother with your bike.

hey everyone,

My Zee has a rattling sound while idling and on the move as well.

I understand that it might be normal as Zee has noisy engines, but I feel that its rlly kinda prominent so it irks me quite abit. Maybe because its my bike, so i notice it more

but anyways, is it 'normal' or maybe i need to adjust my valve clearance or change my tensioner or anything like that?

Just a lil advice on what u guys think will be nice :D end of the day, i gotta go down to the shop to get a mechanic to check it out anyways..

thanks a bunch guys!

Mine also has.. It got me worried abit when i just got the bike then asked around, the reply was the sound was natural for drz400. But then again, the level of ur rattling might be more than mine. Bring to Raptor and ask him la..haha..If got it checked liao update us here la...

Btw, a friend of mine who works on Porcshes say the old porsches sound the same when their properly running.

For the rattling sounds, try taking out the pillion pegs to see if the sound could be eliminated..

Else when in neutral, stand behind your bike and place your finger on the helmet lock keyhole, rev your bike, then remove finger and rev your bike..

Rattling sounds are most commonly caused by the two things I mentioned above..

Sorry to butt in randomly. But how easy is it to convert ktm headlamp back to the original headlamp? Apart from the mounting issue, what about the electrical connectors?

Thanks!

Thanks biting_point..will try it tmr. Haha but the rattling seems like its coming frm the front instead of the back of the bike eh. :s

And I'm on the ACCT though, nt MCCT. K7 drz.

Btw ticks, if u converting back to stock headlight, can consider selling ur ktm headlight to my friend? He's searching for one

Four DRZ400SMs from Abboy Motor Racing taking on an RVF400 during the last BRS Round 5 races.

This was a 5 lap Heat Race in the morning.. to decide the grid position for the 10 lap final in the afternoon. The starting grid position for this race was based on a draw lots system.

So.. you don't need to believe anyone who says that a DRZ cannot be raced at high rpms and on a big race track coz the engine cannot take it.

The truth is... most of the time its the rider who cannot take it.

hie guys, i think this question is quite common and very subjective. Im am very interested in the delta barrel 4 exhaust. Fm a passer by point of view, i think it sounds good and quite loud. And looks good and sleek.. But..... Are those im hearing street legal? Are the ones with baffles on quite loud?

Posted

no offense to barrel4 users, but to me, it sounds like a kup cai with a leaking pipe..

best sounds are RS3, TRC.. but they are not street legal..

for street legals, so far only Yoshi cyclone oval and the new LV had caught my ears..

No offence to u but i kinda like te barrel 4 sound. Haha. But thanks for the feedback. Heard the new lv. Street legal is indeed very soft. Looks good tho as compared to the old one. The one im using. Haha =)

haha im one of those on Barrel 4 which i think is quite loud, everytime while trailing other bikes while going in between cars on expressways jams i have to clutch in while coasting cos when i close the throttle fully w/o clutching in the sound is so loud that guys in front think i'm trying to piss them off..

on the scale of 1 - 10; 1 being terrible and 10 being excellent, i'd give it a 6..not too bad..havent heard yoshi's yet..only see stack loads of LV on the road but sounds a bit softer? cant really tell with the wind noise and stuff..

btw, will u guys be able to see if the baffle has been removed when looking down the exhaust outlet? Mine seems abit quite loud to be really street legal...

For the old lv, without baffle, it is VERY obvious. I know the yoshi baffle is internal so cnt see. But not sure abt the barrel 4. Thats why i asked. Wanna trade with my lv??? Lol!!
