I thought I'd quote something from my original post.

I'm not here to try psycho anyone into putting knobbies on. Only the tyre salesmen would be doing that. All i'm saying is that taking a vara125 offroad is a challenge. An adventure. I can go offroad anytime i want to on either my WR2 or my XR4 and kill whatever tree or bush that happens to be growing in my path... But the feeling of completing a trail on either of those two bikes, is nowhere near as fulfilling as emerging from a trail on a Vara125. Yes, its heavy, yes it can be difficult to handle at times...

But isn't that what adventures are all about? Facing a challenge, conquering the obstacles, and finally standing triumphantly looking back at what was supposedly impossible. Or maybe going for top-ups via Second Link, or 'long' rides Up-North are enough of an adventure for the Vara125s? :faint:

 

In anyways, everyone's opinion is respected, and since it seems that response is extremely hestitant, I shall pursue this topic no more. Perhaps i'm just a little TOO adventurous for my own good. Or maybe I'm just plain mad.

So, I do hope that noone's offended my my remarks, cos this is not a personal attack of any sort.

 

And even if you ARE offended, I don't care.

I shall plead permanent insanity. :thumb:

Dato' ... confirm or not your Phnom Penh lodging?

 

Northern Laos is magnificient ... 100km of offroad in the mountain ... took us 3 and half hours to clear at pitch dark ... the life of Laotian hilltribe is really an eye opener ...

 

Had a road kill few days back ... a nice fluffy chicken committed suicide running into my path ...

 

Now in Vang Vieng resting for 2 nights ..

 

See you guys next year and wishing all a Happy New Year

WALAUWEEHH! DIS FORUM IS GETTING INTERESTING BY D MIN!

 

yeeesssh, read d trips u guys had gone. i was considering d vara125 but always having 2nd thoughts abt it cos of the top spd. i got 2a but unfortunately theres NO 400cc enduro bikes out there other den the transalp 400 which is so freaking rare to find. d top speed is always my concern. riding my pulsar 180 up n down malaysia at 113km/h at rpm 8000 is really freaking tiring. wanted to be patient n wait for next year june for my class 2. however, i need to think this through:

 

a) class 2 bike is freaking expensive.

b) expensive in maintanence olso.

 

theres vara125, terra/adventure 125 on my hit list. i dunno which one to pic.

ive always wanted vara125 or terra adventure 125. its always the top speed dat always be on my main concern. has anyone ever made vara 125 crusing speed around 120-130km/h with lower rpm? if so plsee share!!!
