Hello !!

 

i just got myself a vara 125 and im loving the machine to bits!!

 

Anyway, i'm having a alittle bit of problem with my bike and hope all the bros out there can help me.

 

Recently i'm hearing a rattling noise coming from the bike at gears 3 and above. This noise is audible when the RPM is about 4.5 and above. And gets louder at higher gear and higher RPM. :cry:

 

I've checked the chain, cleaned and re-lubed it. And i've checked the rear sprocket and it isnt worn out. So i'm not sure what other problem it might be. Can anyone help me with this??

Try looking for loose nuts... especially the one holding the lock under the seat.. :thumb:

There might be some possibilities (Try to trace on the exact location):

 

1) Check your chain tension. Ensure that it is not too loose, thus it will produce rattling sounds if so.

 

2) Check your alignment for the rear tyre. It might cause the chain to mis-alignment and create some rattles.

 

3) Ensure that the chainguard is nicely slot to the swingarm groove. Most of us tend to overlook on the slot. The chainguard might be rubbing against the chain to produce unwanted noise.

 

4) Let your trusted mechanic to assist you.

Anyway, any idea where will be a good place to get a small tool kit for the bike? i've got a mini wrench for the nuts/bolts but it's kinda rusted and user-unfrenly.

I trust u coz i DONT REGRET getting this. Might be the tappets (valve clearance).....might wanna check it out....

I want to see the world and i'm pretty sure the world wants to show a little something to me.

hello.. can check if i wanna install givi E45 box. issit compatible with the vara 125 base plate? or i need to do anything to it/get an adapter base plate to install? if yes, where can i get them?

 

Sorry for asking so many questions.... pretty noob here. :p
