I'm tinkin of another trip sometime over the next few months....if time permits, if work permits, if MY WALLET permits....maybe can take the bike further....See how it goes.

 

So far, In this thread I have met fellow vara125 riders(current) : Byma, naimo, Brandnew, szl, movera71,di_andrei, and crowas and tts abt all I had met and still riding their vara125

 

Brandnew and I planning a few more trips across the Thai border and (maybe Laos or Cambodia)...so maybe possible for some of u all to join also... Of cos if u got better plans and ideas share la....we will only carried out the trip if most of us can make it hopefully....

Fadzly mentioned the plans to me and I told him I would be VERY interested in going to Laos by Varadero! Cambodia is lovely too, but I have already been there twice - I would definitely go back if we stay away from the main tourist hotspots. Thailand is in the way - so unavoidable, oh, and at some point I want to do the Mae Hong Son Loop.

 

As I'm sure you are aware, we can skip some of the riding if we do some of the trip by train - probably a good idea with such a long trip. It would be great to do it as a group of Varas - we can carry a small number of spare parts that would fit any of the bikes, etc.

And you're still alive as well. An old bird who crossed Thailand 4 years ago with his vara with just his windbreaker and lots of laughter.

Fatt ... Al-Simmons, myself and a couple of other guys are heading up next month ... Will head to Chiangmai before entering Northern Laos and venturing further North. Coming back down from Yunnan, some of us will be doing Mae Hong Son Loop, Nan loop, Loei loop and others will travel Laos and Cambodia before regrouping back at Bangkok. We might plan to enter Myanmar free economic zone of Tachileik as well.

 

We can work something out probably meeting somewhere and ride home together.

We also take train la .... from Hatyai all the way to Chiangmai and start riding from there ... and how fast can you ride in Thailand? Not enjoyable ...

thanks man. now i have a clear view of how vara125 performance and vara125 biker's view on its bike.

 

Short summary on the vara125: It's not meant for power or speed. But what it lacks in performance it makes up in comfort and looks.

 

Anyway nowadays the 2 stroke generation is dying already because of the emmision laws, so most 2B bikes on the road are also 4 stroke which has around the same performance as the vara125. So what are you waiting for? Go get the vara125 before it runs out!
