What questions did you post over there?

Before buying my bike I was asking about choices of rear storage boxes that would look good on the FZ16 and typical costs. Nothing too technical!

its hard to get tyres of that sizes.

 

Is it ok to try this size?

front 110/70-17

rear 150/60 -17

I think fz16 stock tyres are already too wide for its underpowered engine. I suggest 130/70 for the rear and 100/80(or 110/70) for front . You will get a much zippier ride. I believe Indonesia byson uses that profile

Indonesia Byson actually uses 120/70. So 130/70 should be a good balance in b/w. There are some good choices for this size. Continental ContiTwist SM, Shinko and Michelin. Not sure about other brands.

Hi Guys,

 

My fren had a fall while riding her brand new FZ16ST. Broke the clutch lever and scratched the left side of the head cowl where the Yamaha logo is.

 

Any idea where to get and install a cheap replacement clutch lever (besides LAB & JB) ?

 

Can the affected part of the head cowl be removed/separated from the rest of the head cowl? If yes then can respray. If not then gotta do decal liao.

 

Replacing that part will be the most expensive option. Dunno whether that's possible and how much that will cost.....

Bro. U can try looking for 2nd hand ST but should be quite hard to find 1. Anyhow, i guess u r less than 31yo & juz passed ur license so the insurance premium will be very high regardless getting a 1st or 2nd hand ST. U may wanna try calling Meng Motor (Jalan Besar) @ 62984495 to get a quote. Look for Ah Meng (boss) and check with him direct. Happy hunting.

 

On the other hand, u can join the FZ16 facebook group @ club fz16 singapore. Most discussions and enquiries r held there as it is a very active group.

Hi, Meng motor is an honest shop. No hidden costs at all and i got my bike there too. Maybe u can juz check with few other bike shops & make a comparison b4 u take the plunge. I also did some comparisons back then and end up still got from Meng motor.

Or u can try universal at bukit merah..No hidden cost and No penalty for early settlement if u are paying by installment la... Box and rack i got from them for $115..

does anyone know if the tail light conversion to LED by unique is approved by LTA or when go for inspection ?

Now any modification to bike is considered illegal. THey are now very strict with it, even if bulb signal light to led considered illegal. Change if you want but do keep the stock parts. cheers
