i prefer my 2t 250 broo....

from the above i wud prefer hornet since its a inline4 which can rev quite high.

but i heard my uncle say it drinks fuel like a 400cc

and its got big tyres if not mistaken

twister is like a budget 2b bike, only a bit bigger and a bit more cc.

twister = 250cc budget bike

hornet = 250cc proper naked inline 4

yeah.. hornet looks nicer with the inline 4 and high exhaust. huh..but drink fuel ah? cause of the high rev?? then wouldnt it be very loud and lots of vibration at moderate speed?

i would think that an inline 4 would be lesser vibration then single or twins..

since the sizes of individual pistons are small..

the sound.. i read on the net that 250 inline fours sound like f1 when hi rev.. hehe

anywas personaly i prefer 125cc/150cc two strokes than 250cc 4stroke, unless its inline4 then it can be considered..

but inline 4 will it be more high maintanence due to more moving parts?

it would be a hornet or a magna for me.

wouldnt want the vibs and dullness of having a bike w/o the "character"...

plus the single cylinder engine of the twister... though giving good FC, it lacks the X factor that the hornet and magna would give...

if i wanted a fuel economical bike, would have stayed on 2B.

now to the magna and hornet, though both are not in production anymore, the quality and reliability of Honda's engines(esp those made in the '90s and in the early 21st century) are not in question.

the Hornet boasts a 250cc inline 4 engine... powerful when needed, agile and gives total riding pleasure with it's smooth four cylinder engine moving vertically. i would call this a unique small cc bike due to the fact that Honda has managed to give it an inline 4 engine at just 250cc..

add the front, rear disc brakes, you'd have added braking power, and the rear monoshock giving assured dampening and bike handling at corners and under hard braking circumstances. simply put it, very good road bike for commuting esp on the expressway...

magna250... that's another story... the V engine is really shiok.. rare and solid bike. the fact that a guy took this model and went north thailand and back with this bike speaks volumes.

6000 over kilometers, more than 10year old bike, yet able to brave the harsh road conditions and made it back...

the handling needs some getting use to.. not forgetting the unique right sided dual exhuast pipes pointing 45degress upwards to the sky...

front disc, rear drum brakes. dual rear shock absorbers, 11litres fuel tank, 27horses, 5 speed gearbox, etc...

only critic is the weight of this bike fully fueled- road ready...it's slightly heavy. but having rode it before, the low CG of the bike more than compensate this setback..

correct me if i'm wrong, but wouldnt more moving parts mean more vibration too? lol. yeah..maintainence always an issue, hard to find good FC, low maintainence bikes as climbing up the "cc" ladder.. depends on how much the owner wants to invest time and money lo hor..

i think wud be finer higher frequency vibration due to smaller parts than a single.

i like the looks of the vtr250 too.. but dunno about its performance

Magna and VTR's engine looks the same from outside, that's what I remember last time. VTR rev is good, but too speed only about 150 kmh.

Magna, Hornet and VTR should be made in Japan. Twister is from Brazil.

1 cylinder 4T engine has 1 power stroke/720 degree turn of the crankshaft (Twister 250)

2 cylinder 4T engine has 1 power stroke/360 degree turn of the crankshaft (Magna 250)

3 cylinder 4T engine has 1 power stroke/240 degree turn of the crankshaft (old Suzuki GT 500)

4 cylinder 4T engine has 1 power stroke/180 degree turn of the crankshaft (SuperFour)

5 cylinder 4T engine has 1 power stroke/144 degree turn of the crankshaft (Some Audi Car)

6 cylinder 4T engine has 1 power stroke/90 degree turn of the crankshaft

(Goldwing)

The more frequent there is power stroke, the less vibration from the engine. Jaguar V12 has 1 power stroke every 60 degree turn of the crankshaft. Hope it helps!
