too many queries u ask. compile them in one post. U can edit the same post again and again.

 

I only use the standard setting sprocket the manufacturer wrote in manual. This raw bike machine is tested well in factory and they come out front and rear sprocket size is the best. Also the digital meter speedo gets input from front sprocket gear spin NOT from front wheel spin.

 

wheel bearing u can change to KOYO or NTN but must be "covered" type and not those open can see ball bearing. Yes. bearing also helps reduce vibration.

 

my extra tensioner + cam guide one set is for future use. Cannot sell.

 

 

why u need all above. Since in setia tropika they have all parts and will do one short everything for u.

 

our model Raider R is first model so not all item is same as Belang R.

example the meter panel cluster. You can go to chong aik desker rd and ask them to order for you. refer to my early posting for the part number.

You need to change whole set.

I heard other Raider in Spore use car shop to reset to 00000 but was charged SGD 50

 

The carburetor air turning is super critical . You need to turn 360 degree marked full turn on screwdriver and not based on your hand twisting. I think I did teach and showed picture of the screw , refer past pages. Also I did mentioned how many turning

air filter

petrol filter -suzuki genuine . Good compression

ngk g-power

shell R4 engine oil 1100ml + oil filter (new design)

carb diaphgram

2nd valve PAIR ONE SET with nut (new design).

Clutch plate + clutch spring + bolt (new design) + gear driven (new design) + bearing (new design) + gasket clutch cover

4 new nuts body covershield

 

 

findings:-

first time opening clutch cover since factory . 8 yrs old bike with 97324km

Clutch area very clean - thanks to shell R3 & R4

Default factory clutch plates and lining in superb condition . Only worn out 60%. Thanks to shell R3 & R4

NGK G-power after 9200km usage, shows very plug clean surface and engine Combustion chamber very clean. Thanks to Caltex techron.

After change PAIR (new design) and carburator diaphrgam , RPM dropped to 1300RPM and super stable.

Ha ha ha. The queries strike my mind so I ask. Thought the bike polishing already gone after the Hari Raya at taman pelangi? Tried tuning the carb today evening after work. Set the screw by 2 1/4 turns by 360 degrees as per turn. Firstly the rpm stay at 3K~4K rpm and not dd itrop as usual. Then tried to turn down the idling bolt. Voila! the idle return to normal. Blow the throttle and it drops as usual. Happy.

 

Remove both the handle balancers. Will try riding tomorrow to check whether the vibration will improve. Keeping fingers cross.

 

Want to slowly tune up the bike for keeping. Inspection coming this October 2014. Bought 2 cans of WD40 lithium grease for lubrication. 1 can of high temperature black paint for the exhaust.

Gun, what is the purpose of the handle bar balancer? Last time I ride those bikes do not have this balancers at all.

 

Anyway, this morning ride found handle vibration still around. So not the cause.

 

Notice my bikes swing arm at rear contact with the absorber has free gap. If put on double stand, the rear wheel can shake up and down. The shock is YSS. The shaft and hole has free play/gap. Will squeezing in rubber padding helps to solve this issue?

 

Now my ride the idling is good. It show the mechanic who set in JB during the change out it at 1 turn only. Now at 2 1/4 turn, feels good. More monitoring.

put back the balancer. balancer has its own purpose....lazy to type here

Notice raider even at 6 gear, the speed picks up very fast just by twisting the throttle without any need of dropping gears to drag. Loving this bike. Should be the right choice that I have taken. Always like to have a reasonable quick bike. The handling is stable, fast and sharp.

 

Just need to solve the vibration will perfect the raider. Must follow Gun's suggestion to change the sprocket chain set and both wheels bearings. Gun, have good workshop with address in JB to recommend? Like you said, near the custom area shops not so good and costly. But not this weekend cause tie up. Maybe next weekend.

 

By the way, how is your shinob sprocket set? Is it much better than those standard sprocket sets in the market?

By the way, how is your shinob sprocket set? Is it much better than those standard sprocket sets in the market?

very easy to ding in map

it is along skudai highway only at main road can see uphill

 

ASk for

 

STT sprocket super hardened steel front and rear sprocket

O-ring CHOHO chain 428 120L RM75

 

buy these 3 items and bring to your shop and fix

BUT LET U KNOW

 

u must get back the original pin for front sprocket cause front sprocket holes and pin matches only for raider R. I believe previous users modified the front sprocket and pin to yamaha RXZ type. so watch out

 

otherwise when u buy at Kang Soon ask for front sprocket STT for yamaha rxz.

to all raiders

 

use o-ring as chain drive

do not use normal 428 or 428 heavy duty

this bike is 120link long and very fast slack loose. it is wasting time always to go thighten

this also casues power ratio drop cause chain loose

 

must use o-ring chain

cheapest o-ring i use is CHOHO o-ring made in china but it has highest quality and japan spec and certified by norway standard

ever tried with last bar 1st blink. Ride on from Chinatown havelock CTE all the way to yishun st23 then back to jurong. Finally, in KJE, chua chu kang, start to blink double. Not sure how many km as my odometer already stop at max. Looks quite far for the last bar blinking usage.

After a week of no start, the battery flat. Jump start it it seems ok. Once battery flat, even kick start won't work. Now notice that the battery is only 3AH. Where as it should be 6AH standard.

 

Wonder how big capacity battery can be installed on to raider? What is maximum magneto able to charge on battery?

6AH is correct

 

ALSO BATTERY MUST BE SPECIAL TYPE- SLEEPING TYPE

DO NOT INSTAL NORMAL BATTERY

U MUST BUY THE SPECIAL Z TYPE WHICH CAN BE SLEEPING POSITION

Just put silicon into the handle bars to reduce buzz. Next to change the grips and put on balancer.

 

Follow by sprocket set. Thinking of removing the lower part of the fairing or cover. Will it gives better cooling to engine and carb tuning, I guess.

With silicon inside the handle bar, ride is slightly better than without. Now can go at 90kph and buzz is bearable. This is at 6500rpm. Touching 8000rpm still face strong vibration.

Found Kang Soon In Jalan Skudai. Too bad they are closed on 30th Aug. Maybe go in next time. Anyway install the handle balance and grip. Throttle side buzz low. Now notice at 110kph the seat has vibration. The idling still not smooth in cold start. Once hot, it stable. Change the rear tyre Dunlop TT900 on size 80/90 @ RM105.

 

During the weekend remove the bottom fairing. Bike inspection passed. Retighten the handle balancer. Test again sometime this week on the buzz. Wanted to paint the exhaust but not able to remove 1 piece of the exhaust bolt at the block. Is there any brush application high temperature paint? Maybe ask motorshop to remove the bolt.

 

Check the silencer by removing the 3 bolts but not able to do anything as the silencer is enclosed piece.Thinking of lowering the noise.
