yeah the reason why the S4 is so appealing to me is cos maintenance wise is pretty much good to go. very practical bike also which is very impt to me :) .. though i would have prefer a parallel twin or v twin :p

speaking of keeping myself alive is a long way to go, S4 can be fitted with ABS right? how much would that cost you? extra 1K?

Hmmm, was in a similiar situation like you bro. Only got my first bike (XR4) after I've completed my class 2.. but I recommend starting off with something a little underpowered to prevent an overly-eager wrist in getting yourself into hairy situations!

Ride safe!

Illegal to use xr4 as a motard.

oh no no, i dont intend to do any mods. just wanna see if these bikes are decent enough for commuting. though a friend of mine said its harder when you need to send to the workshop cos of parts.

Ask urself wat u looking for in the bike.

Alot of accessories to change? can put box? gd FC? compare the insurance prices etc......

DRZ is too light for me to handle but it's one exciting ride as it has strong pick up and loud exhaust.

XR4 old bike, good conditioned ones would be rare, most would probably be whacked from all the dirt trailing.

Super 4 would have better speed, more comfy ride, servicing more expensive, 4 carbs, 4 pistons, 4 spark plugs, 4 bottles of EO.

Drz would have better pick up, lower top end that even kapchais leave you behind, easier to squeeze, maintenance cheaper, can mount kerb and go where no super 4 would dare go.

Both can put box, Super 4 would have more accessories though.

As a rider of a TW200....i would suggest you getting one of those...i gona sell mine :)!! Anyway, you may have class 2A, but your experience is close to nil..which is almost equivalent to a newbie...get a small one and then you progress up. Hone your skills and confidence level (NOT OVERCONFIDENT) first.

Thanks for the advice bros. Really appreciate it :) I will definitely choose wisely Most likely I will source for a decent s4 since im more comfortable with something heavier and parts are easy to get.

*apologies for the thumbs down, using my phone now, no idea how that icon came out! Sorry!
