Is race fairing worth buying? It cost $1000+ just for slightly lighter weight compared to stock.

Good thing is that i can keep my original fairing in good condition after years & sell with my bike. Still the value is good.

i would buy if i have a sportsbike.. to me its not about the weight.. any mishaps on the track wallet not as painful..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

I had used race fairings on 2 bikes. One didn't buang but still managed to sell away the race fairing (Sebimoto FRP) at minimal loss. One total lost (China made ABS) but then still cheaper than replacing the original fairing. So yah, good investment.

Sebimoto definitely can retain it's value so long it is in good condition.

How much you brought for the china ABS?

I bought it when it was first introduced in the market. Paid quite a high price for it at ard $1.2k. Now you can get it for less than $1k. Based on experience, I will go for pure race fairing as it is normally 2 pcs at the front. Easier to dismantle during servicing also.

I believe decent fitting fairings are still about the 1k mark.

some below 1k have scary tolerance in the gaps at crucial places that might catch serious air at over 200km/h that might lead to expensive consequences.

Motxxorld quoted me $1k+ for fiberglass race fairing, china made.

Not sure about price of Sebimoto.

it is about that price, but if get a decent spray job with them, might throw it in with minimal increase

If still add in spray job i tink quite expensive liao...

Somemore not very keen to add in a nice paint job since it is meant for a crash. Afterall the price already quite steep liao

not too ex if u just get a simple one-2 tone with no design, just some shine to make washing slightly easier

I believe pain & laquer is very important.

My previous ride SP, i DIY spray. End up paint job finishing is horrible & very uneven. Very hard to remove the slightly stain.

Worse tink, the bike does not shine at all. :(
