i don't think that you'll be happy sticking with rs125 after you attained 2a, so what i suggest is that you get a bike that you like but lose lesser money on it since you're still a student with a budget.

let that bike tide you through you studying days and get a better bike afterwards rather than spending so much on your first bike.

if you spend so much and needs lots of money to maintain it, you'll not enjoy your ride either.

On the contrary, I've had my 2A license for quite awhile and I'm still on my RS125. CBRs, RVFs, Super4s, you name it. The little 2 stroker from Italy is still a more fun bike to ride and own. Never owned any of them, but I have ridden them all.

Although I've an RS250 too http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/images/icons/icon10.gif;pv8530280fb1cea329

That's what I always hear, from 2 stroke go to 4 stroke then miss the feeling of riding a 2 stroke.

agree.. even tho i have 2a bike, i still enjoy riding my sonic.. especially during heavy traffic.

(eventhough on my 250 i still able to split lanes - faster than a malaysian cub too)

Because 4 strokes don't have that same massive step in power once you hit the power band. Another reason is the really heavy engine braking.

Your Sonic probably smaller and easier to ride through traffic. The 250s are more cumbersome in narrow spaces because they're heavier and wider.

Ah yes the narrow powerband of 2 strokers, even narrower in finely tuned racing machines, quite a ***** in jams, even *****ier in scrams, anyone can ride a modern litre bike but not everyone can ride a 500cc 2 stroke and not die the next 5 mins. Too bad they don't make anymore of these nasty machines.
