1)reserve..hmm...i tried with easy throttle...40+km

 

2)if urs is 01 Fi,i suggest u ride til the blinks comeout,then reset the tripmeter,go jb pump petrol until full then see wats how many litres u managed to squeeze.From there u will roughly noe how many more km u can go till empty.the most i pump was 21L..still have 3 more liters to go.

 

3)Standard says 42psi-front and back

Tyres varies la fren...i normally go for Bridgestone.

the most important is it must be touring tyres(BT 14 or 21)...racing tyres are meant for track.

6 track session must change liao.

went to JB to pump and before reach the 2nd link my meter start to blink, when reach GP Esso I fill to the fullest and it only can take 17L.

 

Wonder how big is the tank, cos from the internet it show that 01 BB have 23L cap. so if this is true which mean our BB reserve is 23L - 17L = 6L????

our tank is 24 liters including of the 3 liters of reserve.....normally can hit 300km if its stock....as for me after i tune i can hit 312 including reserve...so roughly around 13km/liter.......so the blinking always will come in more early its best if u can gauge ur own mileage cos it can give false indication....like u say start to blink but u only fill up 17 liters that means u can go on another 4 liters before reserve rite

Hi every1..jus wish to say thanks to whoever upz for me...anyway jus for your info...a cheap way of getting a BB tank bra is to be patience...y i say so cos seriously i got mine at 40 buck...how i got it?thru bike shop and i believe u guys may have friends from bike shop and s for me i got a good deal from this guy(dont know can mention him or not) but he say will have to wait for a BB to come in with bra...seriously, condition is 8/10 and i'm lucky enough to get it in a mths time...so greysnail may be u can consider tat...jus to tell u guys in case u dont know

top overhaul doesnt mean u have to change all ur stuff on top like blocks cams piston lah or wat so ever....its only the servicing of the valves the cams the timing chain the gaskets the throttle body the FI and so on...if needs replacement then cost more lor....

The Corbin seat is with a new owner already, just passed it the day before yesterday. Also seat cowl sold to Hokage sometime ago.

 

Now only have a whole 2001 original front portion. that is

 

a) front fender

b) front wheel

c) front top and bottom triple clamp

d) handlebar clip-ons

e) front wheel axle

f) front calipers

g) front brake pump and lever set.

h) rear disc

 

Of course, i would prefer to sell the whole front as a package.

Just got back my bike from Mech. got it for less then two weeks and went hospital due to bike fever.

 

Was riding from woodlands and before jln besar food center, while waiting for traffic light spotted my temp meter shows 132c, next I know is smoke came out from under the seat. Off engine and push bike one side, open seat and found water spill from the under-seat coolent bottle. :slapforehead:

 

After sent back to the shop where I got my BB in Bt Merah Lane, they told me fan not auto kick in and that is why it over heated. Left bike over nite and they claim change the switch and coolent then charge me $50.00 but now have to watch the temp when riding and was told once temp reach 100c need to on the fan myself cos there is no spare parts for the auto switch or relay...

 

Also, anyone know where is the hazard light switch located? or we need to install it for BB... if so where to do it and how much?

Hi guys... sorry is me again, anyone can share how to change the bulb for the head lights??? Can't seen to find anyway to access to the head light, must it change by mech or can DIY???

Hazard light switch must b installed by us. cost abt $30 i think @ HKL. Look 4 Ah Keong. Say Botak recommended u. He will change ur headlight bulb 4 free if u giv him urs. Itz not so diff exactly. guess u must hav bought ur bike from either southern or andrew. U shd hav asked 4 3 months warranty n shd not pay 4 de part he changed.

hey bro sorry to hear wat had happen.....anyway there are a few tings to rectify ur problem....firsting u have to check enuf coolant or not....then u must see any leakage at ur tubes n radiator.....then see if ur fan is working.....then see the pump is it working then check ur sensors as in the thermostat.....ur radiator cap also plays a part.....normal water is not recommended as water boils at 90C but good coolant boils around 135-140c....futhermore i tink there should be a switch somewhere at the spareparts shop or agent......as for ur hazard lite u have to install it ursel and for the headlites u can do it yourself we use H7 type of bulbs u need to open ur head fairing or meter if u want free excess.....i try doing it with opening either n i had a whole hell of a time.....hope the info is relevent

Bro, thanks for the info. Guess the thermostat is what they mean bah, now also dun know what the hell they did to my bike. Guess the fan won't auto start once reach high heat, today was ridding around and can feel the heat between the leg. Sightz... Should get a ST in the first place.
