had a good petrol run last nite

we seriously need to liven up this plc

besides making it a strong supporter of the courtesy campaign:sweat:

hey guys... will be joining the BB family next mth.. now still riding a S4..

wanna ask sum quest... kinda new to the BB and its models. The model that im gona be having, as per what the shop says, is a 2002 model. But the meter has the analog FI meter. It has no plate for now, the plate number has been purchased by another rider...and they will be getting a new "FBD..." plate for me...

From what ive read, 2001 model onwards shud have the digital meter rite? or its more to it...

I question the shop, they say that what determines the year of the model is when it is registerd...and this bike is first registerd in SG in 2002. Kinda confused, the shop storey kinda weird... so what i know the model is determined by the production year rite?....

Hi bro, Well it's not the year of registration that matters, it's the year of production. Check the year of production and you should get your answer. Check the log card or on the right side of the body frame. If it's 96-00 then it's the EFI model with analog speedo. If it a newer model with an analog meter then, you must engage a private investigator already. :cheeky: 01 onwards is the digital meter. Best part is The Blackbird hasn't really changed much over the past ten years that it's easy to identify the model. Let us know when u get your bird. Cheers buddy!

Warmest Regards,

Sanger, S

Since she never gave me any problem at all, decided to keep her as spare....until kanna left-right-ctr by wife.....real wife.

Been only riding her short-time 2-4 times a mth....just to work the engine a bit and send her for washing & polishing....

its the year of production that counts

not registration

whc bike shop u went????

registration is only for COE renewal......

my friend just got a 07 haya brand new

it doesnt make his Haya an 08

its a 07 model reg in 08

analag EFI is the 98 99 and 00 model....

digital is the 01 (or is it 02) onwards.....

but quite weird for a 98 or 99 model to be registered in 02.....

keep inside box for so long??????

better insist to see the log card first before committing..

could have been some sort of mis comm

Hey, mine's For Sales! Interested? Pls refer to eariler few posts!

FYI, the last batch of the Analog EFI models should be reg. ard late '99 - like mine. The Digital EFI models are reg. after this. If you lift up the seat, on the classic near to the rear, you will find a sticker bearing the code of the make/model/year of production of the bike. You can scroll thr this BB thread for earlier posts regarding this topics, it's been discussed before.

By the way, if they give too many stupid excuses just walk away. Can look for another one. By the way I saw 3 blackbirds at De Xing in Ubi. There is one particular bird which is in excellent condition even though high mileage. I managed to reach the ex owner to find out bout the bike. Ok best of luck bro! :thumb:

Wow,bro.....taking Degree in Pathology ah?? Damn rite its been a long time.Looks like the season forumers also dissappear.Well do wat u need to do 1st.Once everthing ok,we'll mass murder...i mean mass flight...

Welcome bro,so wats ur bike model?

Due to economics issue, the birds have been grounded for maintenance..

Joking la,Some of us do fly on Fri nights...like i've mention some as different ppl, different shift pattern. But we do sometimes post out for a meet-ups.So look out for it k.

As for touring, sometimes its an impromptu kinda thingy cause if planned,it doesn't go well.

Last touring session was only 2 bb to Sepang MotoGp.But even juz 2,it was an eye-opening for some who have'nt ventured above JB.

if u're in Thailand kinda of trip, have to wait for Mr Mahmud aka Penyu coz i've heard he's planning to go up north.

I did have a plan of going to Ayer Keroh for an A&W meal.so tot of going with the guys here...so have to see the situation 1st la.if all birdies are free, then we'll fire the bird up and blast those road.:thumb:

ive read enough abt this, and seen enough online vids.... once start, if its a cold start, it will go to a higher rpm right? den wen it warms up enough, it will come back down to normal idling... but i see online so many online vids when they start the bike it seems strait away go to normal idle..doesnt really go high. Mybe those vids the guy already warm the bike up already lar...but it should happen to all efi models right? from the analog meter efi models, to the digi meter efi models...

Hellooooooo my fellow birdies......hahahahaha sorry lah i have been very buzy with work and so on.........i really missed the rush lah.......feeling like running on friday lahhhhhhhhh hahahahaha wanna test my bird lah wheter still can run fast............feel like i am abusing her for not running like hell......anyway for the newbie Q its ok to ask rite.....its normal for the idling to increase to around 3000rpm then after ur temp reach around 50 to 55C it will go back to idiling to 1 to 1.5k RPM.this is due to the wax unit as an auto choke system at the FI.......if u see those just move off in the vid is definately the bike has been warmed up....... so i hope i answer ur Q bro.....hope to see u around.....so any guys wanna have a cofee session tonite anywhere kinda of bored lah
