Guys....have u all ever experience sudden stall with ur BB? Is it bcoz i did not throttle more? Fyi i experience it twice, both in heavy traffic....

Check you idling speed..coz bb's rpm meter will have abit of error as it ages..service manual indicates idling speed is 1150+-50rpmi @ 80 degress coolant temperature. I set my idling speed by using powercommander as my rpm needle have an error about 100-150rpm..

 

I also see most bb have idling speed too low until the "tak tak tak",sound is produce..this not healthy as the rpm goes too low,the oil pump turns too slow,causing lubrication problems. Thus will hurt the cranckshaft,con rod bearings and pistons too..

Finally got back my rad from Alai for the second repair.Looks gd in quality giving confidence that it'll hold the pressure.Mebbe tomorrow i'll get it fixed.....long time never hear my bird scream ah....

Thanks for the info bros...and also i experience my rpm suddenly drop to below '1'...when i try to open throttle, my bike suddenly jerk...mcm minyk tk masuk....happen when im in 50km/h speed n below....

Valve clearance is checking the clearance between the valve cam and the valve bucket. There is a specific clearance that is set for each engine. If the clearance is out of specs the technician must add or reduce the shim thickess. Replacing the shims takes about a day max(depends on workshop's workload and ready spares).

 

Why check valve clearance?..too loose and you get valve lag and noisy tapping sound plus lose some hp..too tight,your valve does'nt close fully causing compression leaks,same thing also lose some hp..thats why must adjust to the correct clearance.

 

My bird did valve clearance during top overhaul,at 102 000kms..all i need was to change 2 shims. Honda's valve shims are one of the best kind..

- Balancing/ Replacement of shims

- Replacement of standard coolant

- Lubricate/ adjust drive chain

- Check spark plugs

- Check both front and rear brakes

- Check tire pressure

- Check electrical lightings

- Check clutch

- Workmanship

 

Fuel Injector Cleaner:

- Ultrasonic cleaning on 8 Injectors

- 8 Injectors cleaning by the Injector Cleaner

- Servicing of throttle body

- Balancing/Synchronising of 8 Injectors

- Workmanship

I was thinking of changing my stock bulbs to a brighter one. Contemplating between the Osram Nightbreaker and the Philips Xtreme Vision H7. You guys know which one will work better and brighter and further?

 

I was initially thinking of setting up a pair of fag lamps on my BB but decided to just 'up' the headlight power. But just anyway, if I gatal wanna install em fog lamps, where can I get a nice small pair?

I'm using nitebreaker but the bulb only last about 6 months..the bulb like cannot tahan vibrations...i'll always keep my stock spare when going up north..

 

Price you can go autobacs to look..last time was 50ish for a pair of h7 nitebreakers..another is silverstar...one step lower than nitebreaker..

I am using the hyperpro set from motoworld.. all i can say is that the shocks are solid for cornering but I dun quite like riding thru kpe tunnel with it.. very bumpy.. dunno why but I still prefer the showa stock rear shocks.. hehe.. this is just my opinion.. you can ask from bro jbat coz he is using the hyper pro rear shock only.. oh, btw, if you still want to try hyper pro, please ask to change the fork oil to another grade.. Im not too sure what grade.. perhaps bro jbat can help advise you on the optimal fork oil grade to use.. mine is too hard..
