BTW GTS riders i just called up sunrise eurobike.They have products for our GTS200 too~ like multivar and 220cc cylinder upgrade.

 

Can anyone with knowledge of those mods advice?i'm hoping to install the 220cc kit,multivar,torque driver,delta clutch and maybe a new carb.Thinking of fixing up the exhaust too.Its probably packed with stuff and very heavy(from my biking experience from 2T - 4T,125cc-1000cc my exhausts were never this hot after riding).Though these mods may nett about 1500..It beats selling it off at 5k then buying a 13k nexus-500 if i can gain substaintial performance.

As for my belt, i wanna try to feel how much mileage the belting can last until i can feel the power begins to slack.

 

As for the mods, how much horsepower, top speed, etc can it gain?? need to really consider it as the mods doesnt come cheap. if it worth it, y not.

choosing a bike is juz like choosing a wife. no right or wrong answer. got it pros n cons. n of coz, muz realli take good care of it........

 

x9, is a "city gerl", where parts r expensive,materialistic n eye-catching.

 

whereas gts is more like a "kampong gerl" , where stuffs r cheaper....

 

 

if u're comparing super4 n scoots, it's a totally different feeling. Same as other bigger classes chain-drive bikes, u will experience alot of difference, mostly pros. The only downside u'll notice is tt u cant go as fast as super 4.

Bro... your power will not slack one... You won't really feel the difference when your belt's time is up.. It will just snap...

Found something strange with my bike just now.. Think my alignment is out.(Funny leh.. nv drop b4) When the wheel is put st8, the handle bar seems tilted to 1 side.. Thou no much difference when actual riding but dun seems to like it. And my bike sounds like a 'chu chu' train sometimes. Having that sound when i move off.. Dun know is it safe anot.. Wait half way in 2nd link something snap then god bless me... Dun know if the mech actually understands wat i say.. Pengz...

oh izzit....??? i tot it's sumting like commercial building AHUs, also using belting. It will "crack" 1st.... which it's power will slack... then will juz snap. So, at wat mileage do u recommend to inspect the belting huh??

i suggest u go to ur shop (as it still under warranty) , n maybe check on the cone bearing. Maybe it's loosen. Worth a try.

 

I dun understand wat u mean by ur bike sounds like a train. Mayb check the screws at the exhaust side protector (the smaller chrome part). Try re-tighten it n all screws that u can c. Worth a try too....

I got to said sori first for no time to check around....can bikers told me which shop now selling SYM GTS 200 the cheaper and i above 31yr now....from what i know from one shop selling OTR 7300 no IU inclu.

i went 2 MAH today n take a look at the bike. but then, the salesman there intro me burgman 400 n silverwing 400 as well as atlantic 200. of cos i got c kymco (shd b this spelling) 500cc wan... definitely nicer than Nexus Guozz.... hehehehe..... can research at that model if u wan...

 

like got caught in the middle with more models 2 choose frm. sigh.... how lah...

Honestly, it's up to indivudual. If u want more power, get a 2a or class 2 bike. I assume those bikes got more storage space than gts.

 

But of coz, do ur own research, as in, ask around of the people who ride the bikes, like maintainance wise, resale value, etc.

 

The decision is up to u. Gts is juz a simple, economical bike. As the bike is still new, not much i can say bout the maintainace, n other major probs.

Guys,

 

I'm wondering how our bike's digital petrol works?? My bike's petrol indicator is giving me such problem, like, there's still petrol, bout half, but it indicates the petrol is empty n it's blinking. Quite irritating actually. Is the sensor faulty??? I'm not sure bout it............ Pls help.

By the way, SYM Centre there dun sell bikes as they only bring in spare parts. At most they will refer you to their dealers, De Xing or Southern or Mah PL. Try n see under garage sales have someone letting go a Joyride 125. Or if u want, Guozz wants to sell his 1month old GTS already..

Hehe... Recommend a change once it hit 10,000-12,000km. Someone did 15,000km before he change so it's quite a possiblity also. But would highly suggest you stick to 10-12 cos you're always active with travelling the N-S highway.

Better hav it check that should not happen

 

unless ur petrol is about to empty and u tilt ur bike (eg park on side stand) it might think the petrol empty but will resume to 1 bar after awhile.

 

If it is half tank and it flashes emty this is serious

I had my change at about 20,000 km or more (but JR200 lah) even it stated 10,000km but the belt seem ok even i replace it @ 20k km

 

I was once told by a mech that there will be some sign when the belt is aging (eg alot of slapping, decrease in acceleration, sluggish performance) 20k km is quite a norm range it can tahan

 

Depends on riding habit also lah. If u are a speed demon or frequence malaysia alot (always wrong timing jam like siao n u accelerate alot just to get as close as possible to the bike infront of u not letting any chances for others to "cut" u) then it is best to stick close to the manual recommendation.
