is it true that the Runner must be ridden almost everyday? was advised by some mech that the battery charging capabilities of the Runner is not very efficient. hence gotta ride the bike everyday for the battery to maintain charge.

lol that mechanic you've talked to dont think he knows shyt about filters

not saying i'm a pro myself but have been trial and error for the past few months on the different filters myself. malossi might be proven but still its a sponge filter. over long period of time sure wacked. the sponge sure breakdown into small pieces and then get stuck in your carb. then spend money cleaning carbs and stuff.. and the look of it sticking outta your bike like a **** doesnt really appeal to me

polini has its own blue sponge filter as well so same problem

as for the bullet filters haven tried it. but heard from people that the installation wasnt good and the whole "pipe" flew out while travelling.. scary

knn tried before.. initially thought it was better than the big names but still the lag was bad. top speed wasnt even there... response on acceleration and top end was horrible.

still got some other filters out there like some funny filters with funny shape and no names so i didnt bother...

so far my best option would be for hurricane filters.. best outta them all.. easy to clean summore. yup just my opinion. i've tried one filter for about a month so yeah now kinda got a few filters hanging at home on show case exhibit. no offence to anyone out there but just to share my experience with you guys.

I thought hurricane filters works on the same concept as the K&N??

I had also tried a few filters b4 and still to 1 filter which cant be found locally for a few years.

I feel that when choosing filters the key points will be the shape, size and material...n when fixing the filter, the positioning is 1 key point to look into

Just a suggestion...I hav not see any riders tried using the TwinAir Filters..this is a famous brand with many dirt bikers..might be worth trying..of coz forget about going to the shops n say "do u hav the filter for runner"..find out the correct sizes require and part number b4 proceeding
