Till now have change 3 times rear & 1 time front. i always use back the tires that came with the bike. Brigdestone TH01. Very EX.... But my favorite cos its really good on the wet. But very sad that the rear will square very easily.

Anything call me better la. somethings not nice to say in here.

I was using dunlop. Front changed once, rear twice all dunlop. Now using fatman tyres for the rear and please don't ask me for the price. So far so good, surprisingly, cos feedbacks prior to getting that wasn't really fantastic. :D

OLD NO GO, NEW NO COME.

Just changed my 1st fwd tyre and 2nd rear tyre n at the same time replaced the bearings. Noticed that the rear bearing is loose while the fwd still in good condition. Rear brake pad was also replaced with OEM type which cost $95.

More often than not, if the calipers are well known brand, compatibles shouldn't be hard to source. Anyway, even OEM, KS didn't quote me as high as $95. :giddy:

spares for going up north better NOT be a used one. maybe u can try Guan Hoe @ Rangoon Road. they are the distributor for suzuki bikes in singapore.

as for the price, u got to ask them. but if they never order that item before, they won't know the price.

btw, u riding a burgman 400?

Spare rectifier ? I believe a new 1 cost $400++.

Not worth buying a new 1 as a spare.

Dont think anyone would keep a working condition rectifier as a spare. Mine broke down early this month, after almost 5 yrs.

then u should get the silverwing euro 400. it runs smoother at 120km/hr with pillion. cos the top speed is abt 170km/h ++. the burger top speed is abt 150km/h ++ thus running at 120km/h with pillion is quite struggling for the bike which will be going at a higher RPM & sressful for the engine.

but the underseat storage space for silverwing is slightly lesser (only able to put 1 full face & 1 open face) than the burgman 400 (able to store 2 full face easily) and the burgman underseat storage is squarish thus easier to pack stuffs.

talking abt seat, posture comfortability & long distance on bike, the burgman is better.

talking abt depreciation on scooters, the silverwing Euro depreciates the least & higher demand. cos its a Honda (made to last).

Sorry to disture, as i also ride a SW400 before the undersit storage actually can put 2 FF helmets but 1 of the FF must be a flip up type.

2005---SYM joyride 200

2006---Honda CB 400 PB1

2007---Honda Silverwing 400

sorry. but a flip-up can never be classified as a FF.

The stainless steel (s/s) rack that is bolted to the back of the passenger back rest. The s/s rack is from Seng Kwang.

I thought some maintenance free battery come charged. Maybe I am misinformed.

What the cost of the rectifier that you changed? Where did you can it?

For MF batteries, I think when you pour in the acid, there will be some chemical reaction that will 'semi-charge' the battery.

But it is still good to do a proper initial charge so that the battery will have a longer life-span

Think MF batteries come in gel form. They are in the batteries itself, unlike though lead batteries which must fill with sulphuric acid before they can be used.

Burgman battery position do not allow the use of lead base batteries.

Will check out with the bike shop next time when I change engine oil.
