i think shouldnt be a problem, unless u install alarm oso..

2 roads diverged into a wood, and I-I took the road less traveled and that makes all the difference!

scoobydoo and the rest, thanks a lot for the opinions.

seems like my heart wans a SWing coz of practicality and super-cool look but brain says Tmax coz of the mono-shock, linear throttle response and wider tyre.

i think...either u get swing now and get the tmax later......or tmax now and swing later..... either way..... u still win..... anyway dun think either manufacturer going to discontinue these 2 models any time soon.....

so just go with wat ur budget allows u to get at the moment.......

If you want good after sales service and have electronic monthly repayment (i.e. internet banking etc), then choose MAH. I have bought many bikes from them previously and this is my experience.

Need not. Cos when I went to New Zealand last May for 18 days, it could be start up once the button is pressed.

most motoshops charge early settlement fee, only a few waive it

wad is the OTR for the SW400?

be careful of what comprise of the OTR... some shops' OTR don't include IU (no IU also can ride on the road), some give only 3rd party insurance (3rd party also can ride on the road), etc

Thanks for the information. will find out.

new SW (agent bike from boon siew) only has euro models FJS400, JDM and 600cc in Sg are older ones... probably pre-2006 bikes

if you want the "best" price, look for Ah Swee at Bike Production... but be aware that his OTR price is different from other shops :p e.g. his OTR quote to me does not include IU, comes with only 3rd party insurance, price is with condition that MUST take loan (min sum/period applies), if cash payment need to add $400, admin fees not included yet, etc.

oh, they don't give freebies so don't waste your time :(

do ask in detail all the relevant costs to arrive at a stipulated OTR package... this will prevent unnecessary frustration/misunderstandings when collecting the bike :cheeky:

do a search in the various forum sections and you WILL be able to read lots about the shop... good & bad

I do saw a girl, around my height 1.68m riding an Swing and happens to be my gf colleague. I think the weight of this bike would be a problem but if she can handle (mount and dismount from main stand), think should be ok ba.

There is a key difference between JDM and Euro model. Refer to this link and scroll to post no #25. http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113114

SWingers,

I have heard the x9 and aprila scooters have loud metal clunking sounds when it starts. i m not sure wad is the cause of the sound but does the SWings have it?

this is actually not a big problem. the sound is cause when the bike is crank, the starter grenade didn't merge with the fly wheel properly. might be because there is carbon in the grenade or due to wear and tear. thus causing this sound. its doesn't happen all the time.

All Japanese scoots dun have this problem.
