i ordered my SW ytd from Mah le.. will b getting it either sat or early next week.. :lovestruck:

 

btw, how to do the running in?

Hi jdm, i don't have that kind of capability to be a organizer. i believe someone out there has that kind of leadership, but not me. ride safely guys...:cheer:

The 07' model just come out, don't think the 08' model will be so soon.

Those are projector headlight, its modified from car's.

This rider actually cut out his silverwing's headlight compartment and DIY in the headlight.

 

The side panel you see there is from Forza. He did some cutting and fix it onto the swing.

 

Japanese are very into scooter and car mod.

 

I dont think our swing can insert angel eye, I tried doing it but realise that our headlight is 3/4 round instead of full round. Unless you do some modification to the compartment if not it will be difficult.

dun think there are any special steps.

warm up before riding. ride normally.

get use to the scooter, turning, cornering, etc.

use more engine brake for the initial few hundred km.

change engine oil at least at 800km & 2,000km.

got problem go back to mechanic for advise.

Why are people who ride motorcycles called bikers and people who ride bikes called cyclists?

My capability is the same as any bro see this thread now, just post a date, time and location, and that's it. It takes only fingers to type, I think you can do it right ?

0-100km -> change the engine oil and oil filter to get rid of metal bits in engine due to machining.

 

subsequent change as follows:

 

100 to 600km (change both)

 

600 to 1100km (change oil only)

 

1100 to 2000 km (change both)

 

2000 to 3000 km (change both)

 

 

No ramming of bike at high rpm at the start, perform gradual acceleration.

 

 

Above info for your reference only, subjected to your preference. But the first change at 100km is a must..

July 2004 to Nov 2006 X9 amalfi

Dec 2006 to Jan 2010 Honda SilverWing 400

Feb 2010 to Nov 2015 Honda Fit

Dec 2015 to Oct 2017 Toyota ISIS

Feb 2017 to May 2017 Honda ST1300

Jun 2017 onwards Honda Silverwing 400

Thinking of getting a bike after years of lay-off, could someone advise which place is giving the best pricing as well as support for the bike?

 

Called Bike Production and Mah and seems like the former one is cheaper. Any comments?
