Hi everyone,

Recently, I dropped my HJC helment and there are some scratches here and there. I would like send to a vendor to touch up my full face helment.

There are complicated designs on. Anyone can advice where can I get it done? I knew that the price could be high but this helment is of sentimental value, thus replacement is not a thought.

Thanks

i just bought the Rjays FF for $250. The model is GP1, and the design scheme is 'racer'.

http://rjays.com.au/home/products/helmets/gp1-racer-silver-side-t1.jpg

it comes in grey, blue or red.

Regina also carries the other scheme, 'fugitive', also for $250. same model, different paint design only.

http://rjays.com.au/home/products/helmets/gp1-fugitive-red-side-t1.jpg

comes in grey, blue, red and pink. i donno which colors regina have stock.

the $150 is a cheaper model of Rjays, but not sure the model name.

http://rjays.com.au/home/home.html#

the GP1 is 1.5kg, feels lighter than the HJC CL-14 i use previously. it fits very snugly, and has completely removable linings. noise reduction is only as good (or as bad) as CL-14. feels stuffy, but on the move the ventilation is very good, better than CL-14. one thing i dont like is that somehow the D ring is too far inside, a bit struggle trying to tie up the strap. but good thing is the strap has a button at the end to double back to the d ring strap for double secure.

i oso tried on the $150 model, and i was surprised how similar it feels to the CL-14, right down to the long distance from my mouth to the mouth piece. it has less ventilation holes though. but when i tried on the GP1, instantly i knew i was wearing a better helmet, from the fit to the weight to the ventilation, and i felt kind of stupid not to spend an extra hundred for this much more quality.

strangely the 150 model is dot approved but not the GP1, but both are PSB.

to be honest, i am satisifed with my CL-14 after 1 year, i feel well worth the 180 i paid for it, i had planned to simply change cheek pads and wear another year before discarding. but motoworld claim no stock for cheek pad, and cpouldn comment pn when stock coming. looking at how they've placed their CL-14 in one corner and offering at150, i have a nagging suspicion they no longer bringing in the helmet or its spare parts, so i dumped the idea of carrying on with a CL-14.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

hi all, am lazy to drop by Chong Aik to ask about pricing. LAB too damn crowded and they can't be bothered with me. searched the forum high and low but couldn't find the info. i'm tired, figured would be easier if i asked here.

need your help on this.

1)how much is the shoei x-11 and RF-1000 selling for?

2)design and plain, any diff in pricing? if yes ard how much.

3) is the FR-1000 just as good as the "more expensive" x-11?

expensive does not necessary mean good.

Thanks for your inputs...

hey how did you know i'm using an Arai Rx7? i dun remember stating anywhere in the post... hahha!

ok well... i haven't tried a shoei yet. but personally i think shoei would be of better quality build.

the Rx7 is very comfortable, but not as well ventilated as expected. its very lightweight too. its a good Helmet really.

but i've yet to try a shoei, after hearing about the good reviews about it, am itching to try on one... i heard that the ventilation is better also...

also, its cheaper compared to the RX7. x-11 600 plus as you mentioned, rx7 is 800 plus graphics and a hundred less for plain designs...

i think they don't have RF-1000 here in spore. i think in the japanese website, they call it X-9. but the designs on the front vents doesn't seem the same as the mentined RF-1000. but its the closest i can find. and they bear the same graphics, so should be it... yeah, in spore its x-9 i think.
