1:05pm slot very hot, cannot concentrate! head swells up if your helmet don't have good ventilation!:giddy:

for the super hot afternoons, wear a light, long-sleeved shirt. best if you have those coolmax type golf long sleeve polo shirts. there's a reason why those people who work in the sun the whole day wear long sleeves :-)

also...drink lots of water. you might even end up enjoying the 1:05pm slot :-)

haha...get those arm socks... else you'll have different tones on arms due to gloves and elbow guards... and dark neck area which correspond to the shape of collar you wear on that day..

I hate session 1. I have to wake up at 6:30am latest so I myself can be warmed up and sane enough to concentrate by then.

first slot always the least number of people, waste less time waiting for people to move off from traffic light etc

1.05pm surely is hot, but is certainly manageable! Just passed my Riding Theory Test, with some valued help from the Riding Theory Revision class conducted about 1hour and a half before the actual test timing.

The instructor, Toh G C was humourous and conducted the lesson very well. He taught me before for Theory 1 and similiarly, I thoroughly enjoyed the lesson with him.

session 1 is my favorite... i work night shift and end work around 6 or 7am, so i book session 1, and can go back home and sleep fully exhausted from work and lesson...

i like the 8.15am session, but everytime i overslpt & end up missing the lesson. but this timing is gd, coz when the lesson ends at 10+, at least can go home bath den enjoy the rest of the wkend.

1.05pm session is ok, but v.hot den i always end up with tanned lines despite applying 2 layers of sunblock! even wearing thin long sleeve is v.hot too.

but i pity the instructors more, coz no matter wat weather, they muz be there the whole day to teach us, whereas we only attend 1 or 2 sessions the most per day.

yeah, especially now they cannot relax one corner when assigned CR duties, unlike last time.

i agree... when i took lessons in may, CR was like OTOT, just ride round and round the circuit endlessly until you memorize every crack and bump on the road... now its a lot better, they stay with you throughout the CR, help you take timing, give you tips and get to play the tight turning course....

last time no instructor for CR?

Have assigned instructor, but some release us OTOT from start, then was always busy queuing up for various hazard courses than to play "Spot The CR Instructor To Ask A Question" game.

But fret not, we asked any instructors nearby also can. Some instructors would take us on a lap of all the courses before releasing us for OTOT.

Good and bad, some people just want to focus on their weak spots while some want to be looked after as they're not confident and want more guidance.

But I like the current system, because I get bored at CR easily, all the queuing and waiting. Have instructors, they can block the road and we can proceed! :cheeky:

oh yes, i remember when CRs were OTOT as you mentioned. but yeah, i way prefer the way they are doing it these days. especially with the gymkhana course. that is really my favourite part of the entire circuit :-) anyone knows if there's a gymkhana course around in singapore? any competitions? should be fun to watch or take part, no?

Too slow, u get too wobbly and more feeling to fall down... go at constant rev, control by rear braking can already. Take it as extended Fig.8 course.

sometimes too many bikes doing at the same time.. if ride too fast, the following dist is too close when stopping leh.

but thks for the tips. i'm slowly getting better each time. taking it slowly. =)

I like the gymkhana course! Very fun leaning around with the motorcycle. I found that using rear brakes only, like what shunoski has mentioned earlier on, helps alot. Of course, use it sparingly or you risk a skid and possibly a fall. Nearly happened to me once :p
