Need opinion, first hand bike

Hi,

 

 

I am new rider would like to hear your opinions on which bike is better to buy.

 

Honda CBF 150

Yamaha FZ16

 

I do not need fast bike, just comfortable to ride with pillion. For daily transportation, easy to maintain.

 

One shop quote CBF150 for S$6900 OTR (with insurance and everything). Is it worthed?

I will get FZ16 instead. It cost 8000+ OTR including insurance and other misc fees and look much better. 1k more than CBF150 and u get a cool looking bike

i agree wit dc.. fz16 is much more better looking and practically almost the same as cbf 150...

i am riding a cbf150, its cheap to maintain and the fuel comsumption is gd... i am getting around 45-48km/L... For daily transport its more than enuff and riding style is comfortable.... The tank is big compare to kups so i don have to keep refilling every now and then also.... Looks wise i tink its ok so no issue to me...

 

Or u can get Fz16 which cost around 1-2k more for just better looks, so it depends whether u are on budget or not, whether u have that extra 1-2k to spare? just get the one u like and will be happy when u ride it...

hi guys, I'm super new here. Just got interested in bikes and am looking at some bikes to buy. Have to agree that the FZ16 sure does look lovely. However, with the rising cost of COE and all, not sure if it is worth getting a brand new bike?

If u are really new and have not much frens with experience in bike....

 

Getting a brand new bike cfm better.... No need to worry for 2nd hand bike problem.... and the feeling is shiok =)

Yamaha FZ150i, looks good & not ah pek. Good fuel economy, fuel injection system. No plastic tank like the FZ16.

Where to find first hand for this bike? I asked around shops said that this bike no more in production already and replaced by FZ16. However, I think FZ150i and FZ16 are not apple-to-apple comparison. Totally diff. bike.

Can ask Hong Leong if they still bringing in, if not then too bad.

 

On the apple-to-apple, totally different bike comment.. the FZ150i and the FZ16 are quite similar.

79xx something, about 8K la OTR (insurance fire and theft, coe, road tax for 1/2 year, IU, etc etc etc).

They both are 2 very, very different bikes... Just so you know...

 

Why so? I understand that FZ150i is FI while FZ16 is carb. But they are both 150cc and if i'm not wrong they are categorized under street/naked bikes right?

You sit down on the 2 bikes, you feel the difference already. You put your hands on the bike, you feel the difference already. The engine, both of them, different technologies.
