Well I'm afraid the bad news is that no more new X8 200 as Piaggio is manufacturing X8 250s now which makes them 2A scooters. However, you can still find 2nd hand X8 200s at various bike shops and perhaps in the classified section in the forum. Machine price also depends on which year, expect around 4 to 5k? Not too sure, best is to go check out a few bike shops.

 

X9s are generally longer in seat space and signal indicators are on the mirror. LCD display which sometimes create problems due to moisture. Perhaps other brothers here can share more about X9. Personally, I find X8 quite a nice scooter to ride, relaxed and well till now, it hasn't given me any problems yet. Recently brought it up north to Malacca and was cruising about 100 to 110km/h, quite ok. So its up to you though...

1 full face 2 open.... and uses analog meter....on avg 25-31km/L depending on rider style.... and mods....

ok thanks, 2bad d bike no more in production, interested in getting a new 1. btw bros can share some light on d maintanence issue, heard from some1 riding x9 told me his bike got lot of problems etc meter N/w, battery no charge n spareparts dam expensive, dun kn x8 got same problems or not?

Think all this still depend on luck. Some x9 can go for nearly 10 years those FS plate still going strong. Except for eo, belt, roller etc..

tink u refering 2 x9 180 amalfi. x8 bo 180. there 125 mostly 4 europe cos can ride up 2 125 wif car license over there. anyway conssidering the weight of the x8, 125 abit underpowered for expressway. hav seen many well maintained x8s ard so gd luc in ur search

Hey guys! Due to very little response from this new thread. I would like to invite all of you guys to make some noise and check out if there are any events upcoming in our Singapore Tuas circuit. Most importantly this new thread will also serve as a place for all of us to talk about anything that relates to racing, techniques, brakings, taking a corner...etc etc.

 

The scooter scene is still very small in Tuas unlike the Yamaha cubs. So i would like to promote this new thread for some of you guys here whom always wanted to know more about scooter racing and also where and when to watch. The upcoming race will be on 1st of March and it's open category.

 

If you are interested, you can post some of your enquiries. Our guys here are very friendly and willingly to reply your post.

Reccomended is Michelin Gold Standard...should be around $80+, can try those shops that specialize in scooters around Kallang area.

Saw a fatal accident on my way home along PIE involving a fellow X8 rider.

it's just at PIE towards Changi exit to Upper Serangoon Road..

 

Didnt manage to catch the colour, think it's dark brown or black..
