Did a joyride to the end of Tuas, up Kranji, and back North last night through quiet, nearly deserted roads. Got me thinking about my love affair with two wheels.

From learning and falling through trial and error, and then teaching my siblings when I was five. To gaining confidence and independence at ten when I discovered mountain biking, and learnt that you have to rely on yourself when you crash or have a breakdown in the forest.

To now, when open road opens heart, and closes the mind to the complexities of every day, if only for a journey’s moment.

To my fellow biker brothers: Happy Chinese New Year. Ride safe, ride well, and ride long.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/02/14/pusesy2u.jpg

Could be the from the hottest part of the lamp, as it seems to follow its curvature. Vandal won't be so boliao to burn patterns on your lamp...

That's my prime suspect.

It's on the outside.

****... Think I ordered the wrong one

Should be t472.

Tmr go back mah see if can change or not.

Edit: think nvm. t496 should be able to fit maxsym. After seeing these 2 burgmans with it

The mounting is a strap going under the tunnel. But don't think need the straps. From the burgmans, they are not mounted at all. Just plonk it in place and it will stay there quite well.

I see. Cuz if go under, will be abit troublesome, plus our fuel inlet is directly below, so not sure if it'll affect. I'm considering whether to get, just wondering if I do need the extra storage, when the current storage is already more than sufficient.

Vibration at higher speeds is normal during running-in. After like 1500km i find the engine gets smoother. In fact i tink the engine get smoother n smoother as the mileage increases. Im at 11k and at 90-110 its silky smooth! :thumb:

Low speeds is usually the clutch. Try not to slip the clutch for extended periods. Ur clutch pads will glaze n the vibration will get worse. One trick is to open throttle harder wen taking off to abt 4k rpm, then u adjust ur speed from there. This makes the clutch grab slightly quicker n lesser slip.

A ride a day, keeps the doctor away!

Oh man, means I still have around 900km to go to smoothness.

Automatic scooter can slip the clutch one?

yep. it only fully engages ard 4k rpm. u can feel there is a slight lag and vibrations, before the bike takes off. thats the clutch slipping. u need to try and prevent that as much as possible. personally i find it a pain to ride slowly (ard 30km/h like lane-splitting during jams that kind).

yup. can feel, but dont expect a super boost kind of feeling. to me, its just that at 5k rpm, it can still continue pulling strongly. great for overtaking at high speed on NSHW.

Hi

I'm thinking of getting a SYM Joyride 200. Anyone knows how do PGO GMax 200 and Kymco Downtown compare with SYM Joyride? Thank you very much! : )

Kym Downtown is very well made. Good quality plastics and paint work. Only draw is the leg space, gotta sit with legs at 90 deg angle, can't stretch out. If DT300i had equal leg space egornomics I would have gotten that then. And comes Maxsym that priced itself very well too so I went for the latter.

Kymco is good just that the agent here in Singapore, I had no words to express them..

Can you believe a kymco 500cc belting cost $500? If I stay in Taiwan I will sure riding a kymco on the road..
