When I was riding vespa, the traffic light just doesn't turn green, and I had to bounce/jump my bike on spot then half a minute later it turns green (without letting my mainstand down). If it had been a magnetic sensor or what, the bouncing of my weight on the patch shouldn't make a difference. Now I never have this problem riding super 4.

Maybe junction differ from junction. Some use electromagnetic sensor and some use weight?

I didn't know you have so much energy to bounce for half a minute. Reason why the super4 is able to detect easily cos it has more metals composite than a vespa. All use electromagnetic sensor, and all requires weight to close the "circuits" on the road.

ever wondered how automated parking gantries have those strips like a small rectangle just for bike?

Happy :bounce: !

Well... I bounced a few times and half a minute later it turned green. I never said I bounced for half a minute. Besides, yeah, a fit and healthy human being should be able to "BOUNCE" for even longer than a half minute. Unless you are hinting otherwise.

Anyway, thanks for your explanation and I don't see what's so funny about bouncing or jumping or whatever. If you are gloating over the inferior use of language or method, thanks.

no wonder...few days ago i stopped at a traffic light dead end, me the oni biker ard, was wondering why the arrow so long still havent turn green yet...the oppsite direction alreadi turn lights 2 rounds liao..i still cannot go..i tot traffic light spoil. :giddy:

Happened to me too.

For those using Lornie Rd ramp coming out of PIE, there's a very first traffic intersection (with a gas station on the left, Shell I think). You either turn to the right to Whitley or go straight into this neighborhood.

I went into the neighborhood, then made a U-turn. Came back into the junction and ended up waiting for freaking 5 minutes for the light to turn green.

That's when a taxi pulled up behind me and did its magic

P.S.: Think must embed magnets underneath my shoe liao...

how if when you get down on ur bike to press the pedestrain button ,a TP come :sian: .. will he pull u and book u????

I aso wonder since the traffic light sensor cannot detect my light 2B bike..

can those red light camera sensor detect??

cos i seen some wave on the sensor line...but the camera no flash

wonder what will happen if my kr stay on .

I wonder whether the sensor bury on the road can be activated by the

weight of the bike, like most of experienced it is not activated so mean

that the bike also unable to trigger the camera installed at the traffic light.

The sensor is activated by the movement of a large metal object over the sensor (a loop of wire buried beneath the road). So when you are stoping, stop within the rectangle. It always works for me.

Do not stop outside the rectangle on the road. U will be waiting in vain.

hmmz after the poll it seems 62 bikers have problems using it.

wonder why those erp multistorey carparks, the bike's sensor so small yet you can activate? :faint:

matter of doing it correctly leh~

I think sensored traffic light at junction are goog for road users,

but may be the weight of the bikes R too light that unable the sensor

unable to feel the touch, hence unable to activate the controller.

So, the Tp must adjust the sensitivity of the sensor .

If u stop at a traffic light junction but the lights dont turn in your favour, what i do is to rev ur engines a bit. I always work for me. That was taught to me by a cab driver. Sometimes night shift Taxis also have this problem but rev the engine, it works.

Wait till I achieve my objective.... I will be back with a more powerful engine and a more sexy bike......

Really?

I've came across this post a few months back, tried revving at a dumba** traffic light junction but didn't made it activate. Always have to wait for cars to come :faint:
