Bro, just sold my Givi slim box to my friend riding DRZ. we didnt use the rack. Just the box and the base plate. We attatched the base plate to the two screws at the tail of the bike and the box there. quite steady. hope it helps.

i think hepco and bacter or trax heavy duty box (metal, squarish box) is good, stylish and fit very nice on DRZ400. I am gg to get one too when i change to 2A. But one thing is that it's pricey. Hepco ones are around 500$ one, trax one is 580$ one. Just for info.

I'm using Trax on my Zee. Gotta installed a rack (which I've bought fr ah boy) on the tail, no drilling required. Therafter i mount the Trax (with it's base plate) onto the rack.....

Kind of regret getting the rack fr ah boy, cos the top box seems a bit shaky due to the out of alignment holes for mounting the base plate. Shld have pay a bit more to get the 'Rally' rack instead....

Managed to rectify the prob by adjusting the lick n catch of my Trax. So it fit nice n tight. But as for the durability or quality of the rack, I reali dare not vouch for it man. Mine, so far so gd (touchwood) lol

where can we get hnb and trxx box? biketech 21? any other place..?the square alu is definitely nice on a motard

Got mine fr Chiap Lee (Serangoon Rd)....but mine's a matte black tho. But I tink they have the alu ones as well.

As for H&B, u can try M-technik. Beside bike21, M-technik is the other only shop tat bring in H&B. But at times, gotta wait a fair while for the stock. Tat's also the main reason y I chose Trax (SW Motech) over H&B.....it's jus me tho...

Hope it helps....

Anybody here have a toughness test on your box and the mounting? I was using the Givi slim cheapo box

And last Thursday I T boned a Bangladesh ferrying lorry sideways. The box ripped the catch off the base plate clean. Box didn't open though. Now have to get another base plate. baseplate to sell, anyone?
