yeap, i tried the shiny can and true enough it sucked.

leaves a greasy layer on bike paintwork.

it does work fantastic on my helmet and seats though, give its a bit of shine. so i guess i can keep it......but still, get the non shiny one. dont be an idiot like me.

ok! time to revive thread.

managed to figure out how to maximise usage of the inferior shiny can lemon pledge.

it will not work on painted surfaces, all it does is leave a greasy film.

it does work fantastic on plastic or non painted parts. chrome, exhaust, leather seats etc.

just spray on soft cloth wipe it on. give it a min or so then wipe dry with clean cloth.

I tried it out on my chain guard and it still accumulates dirt and all but water spots are gone. no water spots at all. does work to an extent.

so if you have the inferior shiny can one, no need throw away. use it on seats, helmets and non painted areas first.

Hello after trial and error i found how to use this well.

1. Move bike to a shade

2. Wash your bike.

3. Dry your bike with a cloth.

4. Put on a good wax follow the detail on the can.

Your bike should be sparkling here.

Used pledge as a detailer. Use it in a shade.

Spray a VERY small amount of pledge on a high absorbant soft 100% cotton microfiber cloth.

Wipe down your bike.

Best is to have several cloths to change when its dirty to avoid scratching.

Previous user of meguiars ultimate detailer.

Shine and clarity is ridiculous.
